thanks for sharing all the different kind of snow skin mooncakes recipe. In the past, I have always purchased the snow skin mooncakes from the store. But for the past few years, the prices of these mooncakes have gone up ridiculously high. I have finally decided to make my own this year. All your videos are so detailed, it's so easy to follow. I am proud to say my snow skin mooncakes was a success. But of course, not as pretty as yours :p. Will definitely be using the same recipe again and try out different flavour one next year.

thank you for the recipe! love your videos! may i ask what the condensed milk does for the snow skin? (as there is already milk in it) is it for taste or the texture?

Those mooncakes look absolutely beautiful and elegant. What other nuts go well with sesame paste filling? Will you have tutorial on making the traditional mooncakes in the next few days? Thanks for sharing.
@JasmaFusionCuisine2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! You can probably use just about anything. For instance: peanuts, walnuts, pecans. And yes, I'm working on a traditional recipe that will hopefully be up in the next week!

Sooo beautiful! Next video, maybe a small batch recipe, pretty please? I'm the only die-hard fan in my family and hate when delicious mooncakes go to waste...
@JasmaFusionCuisine2 жыл бұрын
You can divide the recipe in half! The technique is all the same you might just have to decrease the time you steam the snow skin since a small batch would cook faster

So excited to try this recipe! Do you have any personal experience or knowledge using dairy substitutes like sweetened condensed coconut milk with your mooncake recipes? I have many lactose intolerant friends 😅
@JasmaFusionCuisine2 жыл бұрын
I've never tried them out but I think they should work just fine and perhaps only slightly alter the flavour. Let me know how it goes!

Is there any way to substitute the nuts for a chocolate filling
@CyberianWaste2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jasma, excellent video as always! I noticed you used corn starch in this snow skin recipe, can this be done with any of the snow skin recipes? I have a family member who is allergic to gluten, but we'd love to make some mooncakes this year.
@JasmaFusionCuisine2 жыл бұрын
Sure can! I saw that a lot of people needed to substitute wheat starch so I've been testing all my snow skin mooncakes with cornstarch and it works just fine:)
@dinnerwithdan53562 жыл бұрын
Just discovered your channel, can't wait to try these recipes! I'm trying to find my ideal mooncake recipe, so far I've tried traditional, snowy skin custard and pineapple mooncakes. I've heard people have mixed feelings about nut fillings. Do you have an overall particular favourite mooncake recipe?

Can switching the type of starch for the skin (potato starch instead of corn) can influence the consistency of the skin?

it might change the texture of the skin but it most likely won't be a major difference

instead of blending sesame seeds can we just use sesame paste? 芝麻酱

ooh that's an interesting suggestion...I don't think sesame paste is pure sesame so with the added ingredients it may not come together as the recipe would require it to
