it’s actually a headcanon that has been popularized in many fanarts of c!tommy and c!wilbur, though it is more common with c!wilbur fanarts than it is with c!tommy

Another big possibility as to why Wilbur has a white streak is stress! As we know, limbo was very torturous for Will due to isolation and all that jazz. This could cause more stress which is a huge cause of gray hairs!

i think the reason why they both have a white streak in their hair is because they’ve both died and then became ghosts, the white translucent color that ghosts are transferred over to their hair when they got revived.
