Truth. I will also add that not every song needs a guitar solo. I know it's something that works for some songs, but for others, it's not necessary. I never missed it once in this song in almost 40 years, but somehow knew that it was going to get dinged because it didn't have one. It should NOT be a criteria for a good song.

I think that Billy Idol’s look might be reminding Andy of a character from the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series, Spike, who has almost the exact same look. A running joke in the show was that Billy Idol actually stole the look from Spike, who is a 400-year-old vampire that resented being thought of as a Billy Idol wannabe.

I got a speeding ticket going 95 in a 65 on the highway in the middle of the night rocking out to this song. My favorite Billy Idol song.

Steve Steven isn't who you'd first think of when you're told to list the greatest guitar-heros... but his ability can't be overrated. Ice cold gripping rythms, technical solos when needed, and lots of crazy 80s foolery, always with taste and musicality.

Loved Billy’s musical take and the humor that existed within!

Billy Idol is a Record producer’s creation, A Pop-punk answer to Punk Rock!

Billy Idol changed the whole damn game in 1982 when this album dropped. His punk/pop fusion style and absolutely unique vocals made even those of us who were decidedly NOT into the punk scene sit the f*** up and take notice! He had (and still HAS, dammit!) a voice that could croon with Bing Crosby or scream like a banshee at will. And he was blessed with having the most underrated lead guitarist in the business at the time, Steve Stevens. It was a magical combination. I think there were like 4 or 5 songs just off that first album that hit the Hot 100. Oh, and in addition to the many other songs suggested by previous commenters, I'll add "Hot in the City" from this same album .

Steve Steven's on guitar. Under rated. Billy was part of the Bromley contingent, a fan group around the Sex Pistols.

Oh yes, early music video memories with this one!! 😎 This was all rolled into one: punk, pop, and goth. If you haven't done "Rebel Yell" and "Dancing with myself" yet, they are MANDATORY!

This is one where you need to check out the original video to get the full experience. You need to see Billy with his sneer as he sings and all the attitude to match that style. He's still around and tours occasionally, he shows some tour dates in 2021 !

Rebel Yell should be next. It’s a straight up banger! Then check out Eyes Without a Face, Dancing With Myself, Catch My Fall, Flesh for Fantasy, and To Be a Lover.

Alex always says he's not a fan of 80s production but his own music totally sounds 80s. This tune was produced by Keith Forsey, one of the greatest record producers ever. Steve Stevens is one of the absolute best rock-hero guitar players. Rebel Yell is even better than White Wedding.

You’re right. “Feel the Love” totally sounds ‘80s. Alex, what up with that?

I was such a Billy Idol fan back in the early 80's!!! Then he came back hard in the 90's with "Rock the Cradle of Love"! I always loved "Eyes Without A Face" and "Rebel Yell" Billy got TONS of airplay all over the radio and MTV! Billy with is bleach blonde hair and Elvis lip. ( you have to watch a video to understand) I really enjoyed your reaction!

I was so over this song 35 years ago as it was overplayed back in the day. Time has done it justice - as I love it now. Just a tight groove. Check out "Rebel Yell."
