Really good talk about different options, honestly i hope we dont get moon of the closed sky so fiendsmith doesnt become a staple package in every single deck in the game xd on the other hand if we get moon fiendsmith will be even more expensive and ww will be less money to buy and probably fine as tier1.5/2 even with out fiendsmith and kinda budget

You can bring out formula synchron and then quick sync into chaos angel to get a banish on the opponents turn

I actually flirted with Iris of Swordsoul in my builds a month or so ago but wasn't as confident as a more 'pure' build of White Woods, so I focused on the Runick variant instead. Really glad I came across your vid. Well articulated and gives me confidence the deck can still do well away from the Runick, Centur-ion and even the Branded builds.

Love the content men, really helpful the way you explained your reasoning and it was perfectly clear why you added the cards you showed to the video. Quick note: Not sure Time-space trap hole helps against branded since fusion type summons are not inherent and it says when your opponent summon meaning you will miss timing by the time mirror jade hits the field. 2- Also wanted to add a card that actually that might be a replacement to tri-edg, and it's Gaiarmor Dragonshell. Now only it's a dragon(meaning it can give us access to dis pater), it also has a nice effect on field to recycle synchro's if you need it, and it turns itself in grave to equip spell meaning it's a martial for our White forest cards :) Thanks

thanks! time-space trap hole will work as long as the thing bringing out the jade was cl1 and there is nothing else interfering, like branded lost. its not important that it's not an inherent summon. gaiarmor is too minus imo and the extra deck starts to become tight with fsmith cards, so i dont think id play it. tri edge/stardust charge warrior at least give you a draw, or malong cloud beast can help play around droll

Hey there! Great video. I’ve been playing the deck for a little bit now. Have you thought of playing ROTA for more access to Soldier? You can also play doppelwarrior as an extra search target. I also think Veiler should be at least 2, I play 3. I hardly search it with Rciela anyway. I also will never not end without Diabell. And I pick the link2 Hare as an end board piece as well. Angel triggers Asteria and Woes can summon the tuner and you can use the one from the GY for synchro material so you search with the one you summon from deck for follow up. I also took out Iris and the level 12 monsters. I want diabell on my field every single turn.

1) yea i have tested rota and have it in some builds; in the hand trap version there is very very little space if youre trying to hit the golden number 15, but otherwise i think rota is solid and soldier at 3. i would absolutely not play another search target for rota because it adds bad draws into the math 2) the number of veilers you play depends on whether you are playing hand traps or not, that's all. whether you actually search it depends both on your hand (can you continue playing if you search veiler? then search veiler) and what youre playing against (but generally diversifying the locations your interruptions come from is the sign of a good deck, rather than eggs in one basket) 3) diabell is as good as its ED targets are. if your main summon is silvera, and youre against a deck that isnt hurt badly by silvera, then you may have to change strategies. but diabell generally favours the ww resource game whereas crimson dragon favours protecting a win con (like skill drain) with blazar or calamity locking a deck that loses to it. 4) as with many cards that raise your ceiling, top hat hare comes with the cost of having to play a brick. azurune isnt not a brick just because it can be discarded or set, it is a brick because if you are honest, you dont want to draw it because it doesnt advance your gamestate - it requries you to already be able to play. cards like these are generally the sign of sacky decks, and ww math is worse than snake eyes math. play it if you like it. 5) iris is very much optional and i dont know if ill play it ultimately. it is in a weird spot because it isnt a hand trap or engine on its own, but it requires so little setup to be either while also being a combo piece that its less bricky than most relevant bricks (like azurune). if you are not playing crimson dragon, iris is for sure not needed.

You can make immortal dragon and a level 4 non tuner to summon the new level 10 genex synchro which is a light and dark monster negate.
@BimYGO
@BimYGO 2 ай бұрын
i think that's a little too specific for me to play over metaphys horus + sinister sovereign longyuan, and metaphys places pressure on summon also. if i was playing a runick version, id for sure play chengying as the 10. however immortal dragon can dump necroworld banshee, so that seems like a wincon if there is floo at your locals

@@BimYGO yea Long just doesn’t seem good and can only be summoned in that specific situation. It’s not even that good in swordsoul imo. I don’t play the genex synchro either but that’s an option for more negation. I’ve been teching Crimson Blader it answers a lot of decks and we can make it super easy.
@BimYGO
@BimYGO 2 ай бұрын
@@isaacsamuel6035 longyuan is the best card in the entire swordsoul deck and that was true before baronne was banned. the utility in ww is for a grind game, typically after having resolved silvera and moving into a simplified gamestate. im not saying you should play it because the ed space becomes tight, but that's typically the scenario its useful in since it has broad coverage and is useful in time in combination with cycling silvera usually chaos angel is the best synchro 10 you can make and your resource game doesnt hurt if you make it off tri edge master. chaos angel is also useful going first if youre all in on synchros and want protection. two chaos angels come up in that scenario, but again not necessary.

@BimYGO
@BimYGO Ай бұрын
if you wont play calamity then red supernova dragon is probably the best other card you can play besides blazar. lulu is a pretty low impact card that is stronger in a grind game. its not bad but you might run into extra deck space problems

I refuse to play stuff like Calamity so in my testing the uninterrupted board i can build is Reframing, woes, diabell, I:P, and a White woods main deck monster. I also believe Crossout and Called by are mandatory in main
@BimYGO
@BimYGO 2 ай бұрын
reframing is a brick and also irrelevant going 2nd (side deck card for going first only) crossout and called by have zero syngergy with ww whereas thrust searches engine via spell/trap + is flex on the dice roll you dont have to play calamity or even any synchro 12s at all, but crossout/called by are extremely poor cards going 2nd and then going first bricks versus breakers, which may be a lot of the meta
@EddieintheLoop
@EddieintheLoop 2 ай бұрын
@@BimYGO i understand where you're coming from with reframing, but at the end of the day the likelihood you open it going second is actually quite low relative to the upside of winning die rolls and being able to set up an end board with reframing as insurance. The argument against crossout is not really about which is preferable, it's that the deck can just straight up lose to one hand trap if the hand is not really good and having the ability to also pitch it as well is very valuable. Thrust going first doesn't really do enough in those scenarios, would much rather just stop the hand trap as opposed to activating thrust into...? My point is you need cards that actually help you survive poor hands and thrust doesn't do that at all, especially when you consider going first you're gonna have to set it as opposed to actually add the card to your hand. I think being more safe is always a better bet, having a lesser end board, but a more consistent one is always the better option
@EddieintheLoop
@EddieintheLoop 2 ай бұрын
Also to add one more thing, crossout and called by def have applications going second, just more versatility in the cards especially if you're facing Branded and having 3 droplet and 1 called by main can be a big help preventing getting locked, branded really will be a big threat. Also against snake eye you can hold called by for princess effect and cut them off some really big plays as well
@BimYGO
@BimYGO 2 ай бұрын
@@EddieintheLoop im going to make a video explaining ratios that will cover this, so i dont want to write out 20 paragraphs to answer this fully, but in the meanwhile the super quick summary: 1 - reframing doesnt exist in a vacuum, its added to the pool of cards youd rather not draw, which is what constitutes an important part of your deck math 2 - crossout and called by are more helmet, and if youre more comfortable having options you can just chain to your opponent's interaction without thinking, then play those cards. however, thrust is inherently more flexible either side of the dice roll. if youre not sure how thrust helps you play through interruptions, i think you may have more of a gameplay issue than a deckbuilding issue here. thrust gives you access to a ww s/t you didnt have before, which YOU CAN ACTIVATE THE TURN IT WAS SET after it resets itself after you send it for a ww card. if they do control a monsnter, it can give you rota, which gets soldier. if youre going second, thrust becomes substantially better because you can get drnm,evenly,talents,etc anyhow ill go over the math on this stuff in my next video and hopefully itll be more clear

Does this deck really struggle to play through 1 or 2 handtraps? It doesnt look so fragile
@BimYGO
@BimYGO Ай бұрын
it depends entirely on your hand, since its made up of two card combos. playing lots of hand traps yourself does hurt your ability because youll have less gas, but playing breakers and other engines takes it up a notch

@BimYGO
@BimYGO 2 ай бұрын
@@federicoconnestari1647 yea understood. its just a lot worse than closed sky because its less generic the thing about closed sky in a deck like snake eyes is that any two bodies is full combo, fsmith boss monster, or pops - so you can actually start your engine with it in ww, if you have two level 4 bodies on field, it is extremely likely you already had a way to start playing, in which case you may be hurting yourself by turning those bodies into a level 4 instead of synchro summoning to climb i think ww has less space for fsmith than lots of other decks, which would be a major disadvantage, but if it is played its probably best played by hard drawing the fiendsmith
