Glad you guys didn't immediately tear this to shreds just because it's not typical Whitechapel. While I don't deny this is super accessible, it's still a damn good song. Phil's cleans are fantastic, and while the instrumentation is definitely a derivative of radio hard-rock, I still enjoy it. Overall, I think the emotions conveyed in this song far outweigh any negative traits associated with it. I'd rather this than generic deathcore any day of the week.

@Veronica Moody Oh, don't get me wrong. I love it too. I just don't like the repetitive, "chugchugchug" style of deathcore that a lot of bands play nowadays.

@Veronica Moody Not all of it. Take it from a deathcore fan of a decade and a half, alot of the shit is copy and paste

@@richardsinclair7661 That's why i most of time listen to oldschool deathcore or bands or projects like Desolate Blight, cause it's not "chuggy shit" over and over again...

I don't mind the cleans, but I think the best is yet to come for Whitechapel. I found most of The Valley very boring. When A Demon Defiles A Witch was fantastic, but the rest of the album was nowhere near as good. It's a very different sound for the band, but I've heard this sound before and done much better. I'm more excited for their next album because I'm ready for them to fully embrace this change and really start trying new things.

Wow! Powerful song and video from Whitechapel! It made me cry. You can really hear his emotion in this. Their lyrics are always so well written. Phil's vocal range is amazing. The video really compliments the lyrics and his voice just adds to the atmosphere of the video. It's incredibly sad what Phil and so many others have gone through, in losing a mother,and other loved ones through drug addiction. Have always loved their music. And I can't wait to get the new album. 3 songs we have gotten from it,and it's amazing. Great reaction as always. Looking forward to when the album is released and you do a review to it. 🤘🤘

This album is by far one of the best albums I’ve heard from them, Phil is so damn talented and one of the greatest ever, I knew he could scream and growl but to be able to sing like that, just all I can saw is wow

Whitechapel > slipknot?
@TwoToeTags5 жыл бұрын
If we're comparing the bands as a whole then Slipknot > Whitechapel however if you compare 'When a Demon Defiles a Witch' + 'Hickory Creek' vs 'All Out Life' we would probably say that Whitechapel has put out better singles so far this year.

I thought this song was utterly boring and emotionless. The video was powerful indeed, but I felt nothing from the melody or delivery. Just my opinion of course. This is also coming from someone who loves a powerful song!
@TwoToeTags5 жыл бұрын
Generally you tend to agree with us, Rob. However this time it seems you have the minority opinion on this one.. which is fine of course. Sometimes tracks resonate with people and sometimes they don't. We're willing to bet that if you listen to it a few more times, especially with the rest of the album, it will grow on you.
