Whitehaven Beach, Where for Art Thou? Ep. 89

Well, Whitehaven Beach has got to be one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. It has this sand that is so white it actually hurts your eyes and if you’re not wearing sunglasses for some bizarre reason, you have to go to the optometrist and have your eye balls checked out. Seriously what an epic week on the water, this has got to be the highlight of our trip so far. Whitehaven Beach is also where they recently filmed a part of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie so when it comes out I’m going to make Riley watch a POC marathon with me. nice video! can't judge someone's eating habits i think as long as there is no flesh or rainforrest involved....but personally, a man needs to eat what a man needs to eat, i guess once in a while. Spearing your own fish seems a 'fair practice' to me. It looks bit cruwel but then again, you do the job yourself and thereby minimizing the ecological footprint of eating flesh. Do you still do that now and then? Is it allowed? Does anny of you two have concerns bout catching fish ? cheers,thx for video. Hope to see the cat soon.

Sailing La Vagabonde may I reflect on this reply. What I see in MOST You Tubers like urselves is yall always update on other sites . I'd update first on the site that feeds my pocket and has made me famous - KZbin. I'm older and not into twitter,Snapchat, Facebook etc. I'd like to get updates. The stars are great in a place that's away from city lights like that. BUT never so beautiful or magnificent as on a moonless night in a place like that. I was once out in the boonies a couple hundred miles from anywhere and the headlights on the old truck I was driving, would quit every ten minutes. While waiting for the relay to cool off and work again, it was pitch black with no moon. I got out of the truck to stretch my legs and suddenly realized as my eyes adjusted to the low light that I could see! Pretty well at that! I looked up to the stars and it was like someone had splattered the heavens with white! For the first time I realized WHY it was called the milky way. After ogling the sky for a bit I actually started the truck and drove for 40 miles or so with the headlights off and had no trouble seeing the road! I had to turn them on when a car appeared miles ahead, but I will NEVER forget those stars!

Only thing I love more than the ocean, the night sky. I have a memory just the same and saw a meteor shower and more shooting stars than I thought possible. Pretty crazy stuff goes on up there if you watch long enough

working 15 hour days with no one I know living where I know no body it feels good knowing I'm slightly preparing my self for the expedition I'm getting ready to embarc on caravaning across America bringing along people I barely know to show them the amazing feelings you get doing things and seeing places you've done to or been too with people who've never experienced traveling your country I respect Riley for working on an off shore rig and abandoning it all to travel the world. which is close to my goal, I'm 22 working 7 days a week finishing a pipe welding apprenticeship once I do in 1 years time I'll have enough saved for plenty plenty plenty of amazing travels, I love watching these. hopefully I meet my home town County girl on travels like you I secretly have a fantasy of it.

The heavens so far from light pollution is the best thing ever. I could spend hours just staring up, hell, I did every summer laying out in a field at my grandparents farm, so many years ago. Enjoy every chance you have to look up in awe and wonder!!! As much as you bring your life to others, you keep that for you.

I watch a lot of sailing channels on youtube and they all have a lot of different people living alternative lifestyles, each of them has their own unique charm. I have noticed in recent months that a number of people making negative comments about the most successful channels seems to have increased, complaints about the level of income they make from Patreon or other funding streams. Some of the nastiest comments and venom, have been directed at Riley & Elayna on Sailing La Vagabond, primarily since they announced their deal to get the Catamaran, I suppose jealousy brings out the worst in people. This simple episode captures what makes their channel special and what I as a viewer enjoy about watching their channel, two young people happy together, travelling the world with a wide eyed adventure spirit.

I too have noticed that, people suck sometimes, All sailing channels have uniqueness to them, yep like you said some jealous jealous nasty humans out there that have the ability to type a sentence. And don't know how many times i've read where's the Cat? where's the Cat? if one would follow either of them on twitter or instagram you'd be up to date all this time, they have not mislead anyone they've been posting from the new boat the last two weeks. The new videographer Daniel has been posting updates and pics on his instagram as well. Happy as Larry they be on the new LaVaga. Riles and Elay you guys rule. Love White Haven Beach. A few years back while holidaying on Day Dream Island my wife and I took a day charter to White Haven aboard Maxi "Raga muffin" out of Shute harbor. The mast on those big Maxi yachts seems to reach the heavens when you're sitting below looking up. What an awesome sailing experience that was to an amazing location. If they are still running the charters and you get the chance I highly recommend it.

Such great memories. I was there last year with my family and it was a spot we fell in love with. We did it in reverse though. Parked in Tongue Bar for the night, went ashore the next morning to the lookout and then sailed around to Whitehaven...just glorious.
