I have just completed the front and rear sway bars on my RS, along with Whiteline lowered springs, and it has really transformed the handling of the car. Hard setting on the rear and mid setting on the front feels really good. The front sway bar is a real pain to install though!

What anti rusting product have you used for your RS under carriage

A mix of waxoyl underbody seal and then in some parts I went through the process of removing as much surface rust that had appeared as possible > wipe down > jenolite rust converter > zinc containing anti-rust primer > 2 coats of black paint > ceramic coat

You'll want it on the stiffer setting.

What are your experiences with the 2 settings?

@@AdamRainey I and everyone I know with OE front bar and Whiteline rear runs the 46% stiffer setting rather than the slim 22% softer setting. Too small of a change. Bottom line is find which gives you the best turn in and understeer reduction. Some guys do run thicker rear bars ie Eibach or H&R but usually with an aftermarket front to balance it out. You actually can run one side in one hole and the other side in the other for an in-between setting.

To be fair, the ford setup isn't terrible, there is just always room for improvement. I guess they have to make the cars to a certain budget and price point and then let us pay to play afterwards to get the ultimate configuration!
