One of the most satisfying tunes of the 1960's.

This song hits me deep in my roots. My mom was from Alabama and Dad from New York . We lived in California but both taught me of their roots. I am 100 percent American because of them. What a great An Mercian song!

Wow, I actually remember seeing this performance on Midnight Special. Thanks for posting --- although I don't need the reminder that I'm old!

That her face, at first just ghostly, turned a whiter shade of pale. My all-time favorite line of any lyric ever written.

August 2024 and though I was only 7 in 1973 this song is still as awesome now as it was then. The best songs are from the 60s, 70s, and 80s...ha ds down!

Fourteen years old when this aired! Loved it then and love it now. Hypnotic beautiful blends of voice, keyboard and drums. Was a different time then and this sure brought me back to a happy spot ...
