I completely forgot that Adrian Vandenberg had a signature model Peavey guitar. Seeing this all these years later, I just had a flashback of playing on one of those at a local music store when I was a kid, and thinking what a great sounding guitar it was. It's so awesome for me when something that I randomly came across (this video) unexpectedly sparks such a small but great memory of a moment in time that would've otherwise probably never resurfaced in my head again. Great memories are a very rare commodity for me. Much thanks for posting this video!

I also do that to this day. The studios can give you a false sense of how much Bass comes across in a mix. So after a mixdown i’ll stream what I have to my car stereo and adjust from there.
@EgoShredderАй бұрын
The term used by many in the industry is "grot boxes", e.g. using a pair of cheap small speakers to test on and get an idea of how the mix will perform on the average home stereo etc. Also playing back in mono is a standard test, which is very effective. These days modern software simulation plugins are in use, which are real time savers.

So why did Vai get all the guitar credits on this album while they say Vandenberg had an injury and couldn’t play? Seems Adrian is fine playing and Vai is nowhere to be found. They say it was Vai’s ego that was the reason.

Vandenberg didn’t bring enough heat in his playing to follow Sykes. Record company wasn’t happy with demos. Hence Vai coming in and playing all the guitars on the album.
