I used two rows of electric fencing this year with great success. The outside fence was 1 inch polytape and the inside row was two strands of polywire, one about 10 inches from the ground and the other almost at the top. I am definitely impressed how well it has kept the deer out. Do skimp on a good fencer. You have to knock down tbe stuff that touches your wires or it will take some juice from your fencer.

From watching previous videos i think he would say only add winter rye to brassica if you are giving up on the brassica. So if the brassica is eaten down to dirt then you could plant winter rye as a replacement crop, not “in addition to” the brassica since the brassica won’t survive with the rye competition.
