Highly interesting. More people should listen to this!

Please don't use the ceiling lights, it makes everything look too sterile. Try to use indirect light (wall light, soft light), and some soft studio lights maybe.

Thank you both for these profound insights into the dark chambers of German atrocities against humanity/morality which is ongoing until this hour in enabling the genocide of occupied Palestinians in Gaza!

Wow! Only problem with this interview is that it was way too short ;) Could have listened to it for hours. Maybe there will be a part 2 at some point. Thanks a lot for this video.

As for why the situation in Berlin is worse than in other cities: first, as the capital it is more exposed and wants to "defend" its reputation, second, Kai Wegner is is a right-wing loon and uses anti-antisemitism as a useful tool to suppress and lash out against the left. Berlin police also has a reputation for being more brutal than other forces. Additionally, the protests feature a lot of arab germans and muslims and thus the racism should not be dismissed as another reason.

My family suffered gravely under two German occupations and some members were tortured and killed during the last one. I'm not Jewish by the way, nor am I this vengeful

Thanks for this interesting discussion. I would like to come back to the point made by Daniel about the noble way German society (as opposed to the State) has worked on their repentance for the holocaust. I used to be very impressed myself (I'm from the UK but live in Germany) until it occurred to me that they are actually repenting for one genocide and dispossession of people with the genocide and dispossession of another group of people (70 yr long). That's very strange and even stranger still, is that they don't realize what they are doing. I haven't met one person who knows the history of Palestine. None of my friends have heard about the Nakba! There is such a weird dissociation of people here with the genocide in Gaza. No one talks about it. I have come to the conclusion that a whole nation is indoctrinated and being led by an indoctrinated political elite. I disagree that the statement 'free Palestine from German guilt' is historically incorrect. The political elite may be whitewashing Germany's past but the people are dealing with guilt and the Palestinians have suffered too long under the weight of that guilt. What we are dealing with here is quite simply white supremacy.

thanks for the interview. it sounded as if daniel marweckis microphone was ducked by the one from james. i think it would sound better to keep both mics on all the time.
