This performance is a great example of the effect that only Whitney had on Audiences. Put aside all that made her a great vocalist, she had the ability to connect to the peoples soul. It didn’t matter the audience, what there typical taste in music was, when she sang, you’d often hear a pin drop in many parts of her songs. It’s at if people knew to pay attention, that something divine was happening on stage and gifted to them. I love you all, have a great day

Aretha had that for her audience too

You are correct! NO ONE ever sounded like Whitney! There are a few people with a similar tone or inflection on certain words or notes. But still not on this level. Great reaction! Check out "Didn't We Almost Have it All" the official video with her in the brown leather jacket. It's CRAZY!!

I watched this live on the Easter Sunday it aired. It is to me Whitney’s most incredible performance. The musicians were magnificent. She was stunningly God-gifted.

I saw Whitney live in concert in 1988 on Frankfurt and me and my friends will never forget that evening. Just mindblowing

Wooow! I think 1987 and 1988 were her best years when it came to how free she still was at doing her concerts without doing all the big songs! Amazing that you could see her! 🙏

Whitney "the voice Houston was music, she was song, she was melody, she was harmony, she was and still is the greatest singer to walk this earth. Her singing voice and style wasn't just undying and impeccable, it was mystical, it's fluid it's like water, it takes different roles and forms to the ears that hear it at different times and , different places. What a gift, a masterpiece of God's gift.

Unbelievable from start to finish. But it´s a pitty that last note got cut in this particular video because I feel like it is my very favorite part of the song. It´s unbelievably beautiful. You just feel like crying by the epicness of that ending.

Yessss sir my brutha! My sentiments exactly! Nobody like Whitney! Not then....& not now! And in my personal opinion.....MY opinion....from the first time I heard her sing this song, is that she was singing this song for her long time friend & lover, Robyn Crawford! Anybody who have read Robyn's memoir could probably understand me!

Whitney was and still is the BOMB, no one can mess with her. None of these singers. Plus that's someone else's song, believe. Donny Hathaway. He was amazing, too. What's so crazy not just him, and no disrespect. Sometimes, most times, she sings, other peoples, songs, better than them. You heard that note she HELD, all I can say is Go HEAD, girl. That was my girl. Class, beautiful, voice, out of this world. She can hold those notes. Listen to , Don't Cry, for me and do a REACTION. She came out with a beautiful blue dress, and so much , style. She believed in herl , heavenly , father. God, I hate sometimes, she got in that world. The whole industry is just about insane, using and abusing , peoples , talent and black mailing them. If they can't control, them, anymore or they want to leave, they're , murderered. Don't know abt the rest, when the others' most of them say. I want to thank God, there talking about , the Satan God. Her family , mom, and other's pushed her in the business, and Clive Davis, didn't really care about her I see in the end. Having a party while she was upstairs, deceased. How ugly can that be, folk, partying and she's dead. All the stuff is coming out with Diddy, but I doubt if they ever, get the higher ups, whose, controlling him. He ultimately is sick, anyway. They think money is ALL that matters, if you worship, it and your world is all about that, hell is where you'll end up. She wasn't like that and believe, Clive and him, had something to do with her demise. RIP Queen, listen to and do a reaction to, Don't Cry for Me. It makes, me cry a little because of how people treat you, when your , ALIVE. It's just Beautiful, at the end she pimped to the back with her model walk, and kicked around and exiits. It makes me cry, just a little, because I can feel those words,.

Such a great performance, must've been such a special experience to be in that crowd that night. I once heard someone knock this performance because she changed the song from the original... well, duh, Whitney made every song she sang her own. Her ability to make a song emotionally resonate was remarkable. And that epic run in the middle of this song is my favorite of any run by any singer ever. Great reaction man!
