From the beginning in our culture we were taught to celebrate death and not to mourn because the physical presence of the body has transcended... That is Western European culture who cry and mourn the death of people. In New Orleans death is a party and celebration so everyone handles death differently

This is touching and beautiful. It shows just a fraction of how much she was Loved. Her hometown was happy to see her back getting ready to take that final journey. No matter color, race, whatever or who ever you are, when you love someone you go hard for them. I did for Whitney and Michael Jackson and will continue to do so. Who were they waving at? The woman is deceased. I understand her being loved. I loved her too. And it saddens me that she was so wrapped up in her addiction that she could not manage to stay sober for long. She would've been 54 her last birthday -- 8/9. One of the down side's of being a famous person is when you sadly pass on. The public who saw your television show's,paid ticket's to see you in Motion picture's and bought million's of CD's want every ounce of you..! Look at Elvis Presley when he died in 1977. A family member sold a last viewing picture to the " National Inquirer " for an un-disclosed amount of money. Local,National,Global fame come's with many pit fall's..
