People grieve differently. Maybe they were cheering and clapping to avoid the fact that she was really gone. Or maybe they just wanted to give her a welcome home. I mean it is Whitney Houston. A once in a lifetime chance. Dead or Alive she was still famous.

I believe when you transition to spirit you are welcome home natural and spiritual..

ash moody me too. the same type of thing was done during princess diana's funeral procession. crying, cheers of love, etc. i don't find it disrespectful personally.
@mortgagemark839 жыл бұрын
From the beginning in our culture we were taught to celebrate death and not to mourn because the physical presence of the body has transcended... That is Western European culture who cry and mourn the death of people. In New Orleans death is a party and celebration so everyone handles death differently
@lisabradford81809 жыл бұрын
Mark Fleming speaking of new orleans, i saw a video here on youtube where the mourners were actually dancing on the casket before it was put into the hearse. i admit i was taken aback a bit never having seen anything like that before lol

This was a true testament of the love people had for Whitney. She would've been so touched that they came to send her off, even in death. Some may see this as foolish cheering for a dead woman, but Whitney would've thought otherwise. The fans came to make sure that Whitney, a fellow Jersey girl, would be sent off one final time surrounded by the genuine love and affection she once reserved for them.
@bosslady1188 Жыл бұрын
The body had transitioned but her spirit was alive and rejoicing with them. They do it for Elvis every year in Memphis Tennessee..

And what way did they act?? I didnt see any riots or anything out of line. Nothing wrong with them paying their respects and celebrating her life and legacy in her hometown. Whitney would have appreciated that..that is LOVE. How is that acting ghetto, they were just excited and shouting "we love you Whitney". Stop hating and get a grip.
@guccfan099 жыл бұрын
This is touching and beautiful. It shows just a fraction of how much she was Loved. Her hometown was happy to see her back getting ready to take that final journey. No matter color, race, whatever or who ever you are, when you love someone you go hard for them. I did for Whitney and Michael Jackson and will continue to do so. Why get on someones post and talk so Disrespectful and Reckless?? If you don't like it, why say mean things? Makes no sense at all. People always worried about the wrong things! this is why the family decided to change the funeral from public to private because they knew it would be a circus like this. These people didnt have anything better to do that late at night, but camped outside a funeral home waiting for her dead body to arrive. Damn we all loved her, but give the family peace and let them have their time, and where the hell were these people's kids while they were out there. Also it is eerie how someone yelled they're going to find out who killed her so true

Where do they post the footage of the star's taking a dump? Seriously though,, What is sacred to these people? How can someone be refused privacy in death? Whitney Houston was an iconic figure. She is a musical legend. How can the peace of death be taken away? Never forget that Whitney Houston lived before she passed. And always remember that she was treated poorly, stalked constantly, ridiculed by people she never met. Let her rest in peace.

@Decgyrrl6 жыл бұрын
I thought it was just me. But as I read some of the comments , people were carrying on as though she just stepped out on stage, and started blowing kisses at her audience. Some were waving . Who were they waving at? The woman is deceased. I understand her being loved. I loved her too. And it saddens me that she was so wrapped up in her addiction that she could not manage to stay sober for long. She would've been 54 her last birthday -- 8/9. But no matter what she did, or how she lived her life, she's dead. Welcome her home, yes. Don't treat it like a concert. All concerts by Whitney Elizabeth Houston are over. RIP

One of the down side's of being a famous person is when you sadly pass on. The public who saw your television show's,paid ticket's to see you in Motion picture's and bought million's of CD's want every ounce of you..! Look at Elvis Presley when he died in 1977. A family member sold a last viewing picture to the " National Inquirer " for an un-disclosed amount of money. Local,National,Global fame come's with many pit fall's.. I hope that she is in peace and other's rethink carefully . Before pursuing a career in the public spot light... RIP Miss Houston.. What an outstanding SOPRANO she was.. such vocal greatness to die at 48 years of age..
