@@I-AM-BELIEVERjust Whitney didn’t get the same push as her other albums because she wasn’t working with/ signed to Clive at the time.
@I-AM-BELIEVER10 ай бұрын
@@OldFordTaurus That’s somewhat true. It’s not the entire truth or reasoning. She was literally in a downward spiral. Even the producers who worked with her stated that. In the past, Whitney could record an album while sleep and it be done in no time. With this album it literally took months on end just to finish a couple songs. Either she was in hiding doing what we know she was doing, or she was just not up to par. Plus, when the album was released it was indeed promoted cause it was on Good Morning America, 106 Park which wad literally a major mainstream player at the time for hip hop and RnB plus she was doing radio interviews supporting the album. Unfortunately, due to her erratic behavior in public and disheveled performances, it turned the public off to her artistry and made them focus more on her personal. This was her doing and no one else. In the past they would always speak about her personal but it never affected her art. Her personal well being just took center stage.
@OldFordTaurus10 ай бұрын
@@I-AM-BELIEVER this makes sense. Her bad Diane sawyer interview really did a number on her reputation and kinda made people/ the media make a joke out of her especially with the whole “ crack is whack” thing. I remember reading about/ hearing about a lot of people being disappointed with the album. I have it myself and it’s not my favorite from her. It’s not a bad album just not up to her standard.
