Remember the collector is like a child. They don’t understand things like “hey that’s a baby you can’t just ‘play’ with it like you would a grown up.” And they think of Kings dad as a bully. Not necessarily an enemy. But someone who caused them some kind of harm (with the collectors mind probably they were being tough parent figure and wouldn’t let the collector do what they wanted) even when king was going to leave with Luz the collector sounded more hurt/ temper tantrum than malicious. If the collector has anything going for them (with the exception of Belos who broke their promise) he takes his promises VERY SERIOUSLY. Going as far as saying not wanting to associate with fibbers.(those who break their promises). Meaning they probably take people at face value a lot. Again much like a child. Honestly I love their character and just hope maybe King manipulates the collector into being peaceful if anything

In fact, if someone ever teaches The Collector the grand game of "Civilization" (The real life version, not Sid Meier's simulation) he could become an active force for good. I don't know about you, but I love building cities/nations/interstellar empires, and if The Collector caught that same bug he'd likely spend the rest of eternity building dyson spheres, ringworlds, and all sorts of other crazy megastructures for his "players" to use and live on.

If you get bored with playing one part of the game, just switch to another. Besides, even if this doesn't work forever, it will keep him busy for a while in a nondestructive manner, and that buys time to think up a better solution.

When King heard his father cry out to him, it was most likely “Goodbye, my son" meaning that moments after he sealed the Collector at the cost of his life, he wanted to say goodbye to his son. As for the multiple mirrors, I believe that the Collector had means of being contacted through multiple mirrors, the Titan hunters had their own mirror to the Collector, but maybe the real reason they hunted Titans is because the Collector needed them to get a Titan to free him. But during a capture, a Titan managed to break the mirror then as a result, the Titan Trappers became a Titan Hunters, to kill the Titans from taking away their means of talking to their god.

Four or five people he's met at Hexside (Viney, Gerbo, Edric, Emira, and Barkus) are Wild Witches in-training, after all. Or I'm reading too much into it. What I meant was that included-but-not-limited-to conscious thought, Hunter knows in his heart, his unconscious, his "dreams" about Philip's true nature. Rick could technically meet up with Luz, or with Marcy or with Sasha or with Anne without a problem, he'd probably be obstinate from learning from them but that's a story for another time, but, it means that both Ford and Rick, who might be good friends, or might've been, they would've been able to study and learn from these worlds, and maybe that's why Rick tends to hate magic, in a lot of ways he's quite like Belos when it comes to that, reliant on scientific tools to utilize it, tending to work through it by deduction and induction, not by intuitions and a clear, honest heart.

The season 2 finale was such an epic episode! i'm glad that the day of unity has been stopped and Belos has finally been defeated, although i hope mostly everyone that was worse effected by the draining spell turns out alright and i'm amazed with the Collector's power i mean the fact that he was able to literally move the moon means that he's basically a god, but at least the Collector isn't really evil so much as he's just a misguided kid who doesn't know the difference between right and wrong, but i have no doubt that King and Eda will show him the way. And as for Luz and friends, i'm happy that the managed to make it to the human realm and i can't wait to see how they'll adapt to life there until Eda and King find a way to bring them all back to the Boiling Isles.

This is probably one of the favorite episodes of the show so far. The composer did a fantastic job with the music. And I loved that out of everyone it was Hunter that opened the door to the human realm. You could probably call it poetic that it wasn't Belos, the brother who wanted to go back to the human realm so badly, but it was the son of the brother who probably never wanted to go back that opened and went to the human realm instead. I just liked how they put that detail in there. When they could've easily had Luz or one of the other kids open the door.

My theory on the double meaning of lies is that, since this is likely the Collector saying these rhymes, the negative meaning is probably them feeling as though King's father lied to them, either by tricking them into being sealed or by a misunderstanding of the Collector's part. Kind of how kids will say that their parents lied to them if plans suddenly have to change for things that are outside of their control and that the child didn't know about, ESPECIALLY if those plans included something fun.

10:20 personally, I can see this being the beginning of Philip’s Grimwalker experiments, but when I first saw the scene, I instantly thought “this is him burying his brother after he killed him”. I don’t think that Belos saying that ‘it’s almost like the titian keeping it secrets’ was the writer saying that Titian’s will is helping Luc. I think it was more hinting at Belos having an inferiority complex. Over the fact that Luc and his brother are gifted in magic and feel that he is not. And resents them for that. We saw in the time travel episode that Belos had been made fun of for not having innate magical abilities, i.e. ‘just because I don’t have a bile sack,’ I think Belos entered the demon realm without substantial prejudices. But I guess between being separated from his brother and possibly being abused, witches drove him to drastic measures to gain magical abilities. It seems that Celeb also protected belos from bullies in emporer mind episode. But when he finally found brother and discovered he made a palisman and had a witch for a wife. Belos became infuriated that brother had a much easier time without him and feeling abandon betrayed belos killed him and swore that kill off all the witches for stealing his brother from him. Ultimately belos does care for his brother but feels betrayed because celeb ended happy and he was miserable. Edited because my original post was incoherent.

Here's the BIGGER question on my mind after watching this episode. Remember the promise Luz made to Camilla to stay with her, if and when she came back home? Well...now, she IS home but Luz will certainly want to make a comeback to whatever's left of the Boiling Isles to help save Eda and everyone else. So, how will she be able to do that; if her mom doesn't want Luz to go back there? (Side Note: This could mean a potential breakup of Lumity by the end of the so-called "third season." I only say this because there will, no doubt be a moment where the link between Earth and the Isles will become separated; just like what happened with Amphibia. If such a situation WERE to happen, that would mean all the hard work Dana put in to make Lumity canon will be all for nought)

Where the hell did you pull that any link between the boiling isles and earth will for sure break? unlike the link between amphibia and earth, it isnt made by 1 specific artifact that you could never get back if it were to break, but by something we could still have nearly infinite acces to: titan's blood. I dont think the collector will kill king because, unlike belos, he actually helped, and then, a bit of king's blood could be drawn day by day and eventually, they'll have enough for an infinite portal door

Okay first off, no Lumity will not break up, I doubt Dana and the crew would throw all their hard work for a healthy and good LGBT couple. Second off, Camila actually never said Luz couldn’t go back, now guarantee she would definitely want Luz to stay with her, but not let her visit the Isles. I feel like we’ll definitely get a talk between Luz and her mom about this in S3, especially since this is a perfect time for both sides to show their points and come to an understanding.

This an interesting info but the main question is HOW THE HELL ARE THEY GONNA GO BACK TO THE DEMON REALM!!!! it's not like amphibia that they can just find people that's know how to get there and build a portal even if they did only belos/Phillip know how to and even if they did manage to build a portal door don't have Titans blood to power it TOH situation is similar to Amphibia's situation but the difference there is they manage build a portal but they used Anne's calamity powers to make the portal bigger so they can get back to Amphibwia while TOH I don't think can make a new portal door even with the help of belos/Phillip they don't have the materials for it the portal door was originally made from the demon realm after all but we'll wait and see what happens in s3 I'm still pissed off about Disney cutting s3 short we won't see the crew's shenanigans and their interaction with the human realm or see Gus speaking to the giraffes 😂 but at least I have fanfic there's already a lot of fanfic comic about that in this channel "Lumity fans" the art of the comic is really closed to the original and story of is really good to almost to the point that story feels canon and not a fanfic

I'm in here late, but there's that theory that the Collector is merged with Luz which I believe you talked about in another video. Notice how the Collector keeps on mentioning "pinky promises" in a world where Luz had to teach them what high fives were. The Collector also has a sort of childlike, unquestioning sense of innocense. I think this supports that hypothesis that at the very least, some of Luz's essence is within the Collector. I think another interesting thing that the romantic part of me observed is how selfless Luz is beyond her relationship. Ngl, if my partner and I have the opportunity to escape to safety with some friends, I might stop for a moment, but when I see that the ground under me is shifting, that's when I'm calling it. I think Luz is really into Amity, but notice that she doesn't even think twice before leaving her for a larger cause which we see when she has Gus change her and Hunter's appearances so that she can save Eda and the CATS, and especially in King's Tide when the world around them is crumbling but she refuses to move. I think this episode provided support for a Luz+(dare I say) Belos (whose essence clearly remains) merger? Not sure about the Belos aspect still because the other half of the Collector's face looks more like an abomination but I'm not sure where else the lack of a conscience comes from. I also feel like it would support Willow's maybe hint-maybe joke that the Emperor was just a mirror reflecting society

This finale and season 2 overall were amazing. The situation felt so intense Luz & the others were on the backfoot for most of the episode and just when you thought things were getting beter they got worse. The reveal that the Collector is some kind of cosmic entity and how powerful they are was truely surprising/shocking to see. The post credit scene of revealing that a part of Phillip/Belos is still alive was really interesting. I'm so hyped for season 3!

I hypothesized that king wasn’t the reincarnation of bill per say but bill before he became bill cipher. If you remember the poem the axolotl made “sixty degrees that comes in threes, watches from within birch trees, misses home and can’t return, says he’s happy, he’s a liar, blame the arson for the fire, if he wants to shirk the blame, he’ll have to invoke my name, one way to absolve his crime, a different form a different time” the collector has cosmic level power much like bill and king is the one who released him causing the destruction of the boiling isles, not literal arson but the same principle.

When it comes to spin offs I want the adventures of Vee, with her and her camp friends going on adventures involving magic creatures who got into the human realm by sneaking through the portal door (or like the talking rats, just accidentally created by eda in her adventures in the human realm), with the show ending with the camp friends finding out who Vee really is (maybe the museum guy returns or she has to use some of her magic to save them and it forces her to shapeshift to her true form) and they just don't care cause she has been a great friend, giving Vee a much needed self esteem boost. A young eda series would be cool as well but I'm not really sure what can really be explored in that show that hasn't been done in the main show.

It's hard to judge from what limited window we have on him - of all the plots rushed due to the cancellation, King and the Collector's friendship (which I am positive was meant to build through that astral projection over an entire season) is the one I think most tragically truncated - but the Collector doesn't even seem _malicious._ Kids can be, and all-powerful kids are often depicted as horror-terrors because they feel entitled. The collector kid doesn't seem unjustly entitled, just dangerously innocent. His fury over his mistreatment is not unfounded. Even King resorted to deception rather than simply telling him the truth and making a bargain. Not surprising, given King's own upbringing and the nature of the situation. But I actually think, if King had said, "I _do_ want to bargain with you. I'll pull you out if you stop the spell and save my friends. I'll even pull you out first," I think the collector would've agreed. If King made further overtures of friendship, it probably would've gone...reasonably well. THe poor kid needs a parent. I don't know how his species grows up, but it's clear that he's had no emotional growth from being an innocent orphan. But, again, he doesn't seem malicious, just...unaware of how dangerous he is to others. Very child-like. I think he can learn empathy, possibly even fairly easily. He just needs a reason to recognize that people will play with him if he exercises restraint and care for them. I really wish we'd gotten more development of him before now, or had that extra time for 20 more adventures Luz said they'd need for a beach vacation in which to have the Collector and King develop on that front.

some of my friends think that the collector either killed every one who wasn't on Earth or erased there memories but I see zero evidence to either of those outcomes. I think some good spin=off ideas could be 1. Eda's story 2. V's story 3. A These are the adventures you WOULD have seen IF we had more time minor retcon story 4. focus on a back ground or supporting character at the same time as Luz 5. Young Philip's Story 6. the story of an other wild witch in an other location at around the same time 7. Multi Disney show crossover special mini series 8. Live action reboot 9. Change every one's race, gen der and sexuality and all there oragin stories, back stories and interests but some how still have it be the same characters reboot 10 CGI reboot 11. Next Gen reboot 12 Chibi comedy series 13. return the original cast and characters but give the whole series an annoying ham fisted political shift 14 An anthology series that can be set any place on the time line and focus on any number of characters in any order and can also step outside of canon ... think Adventure time's Grables 15. an alternate universe where one small change completely shift every thing in a new direction Some things I think will happen in season 3 or rather that I feel need to happen even if it is more then 3 double episodes can do 1. morn your loss and accept what just happen ed and that you can not go back. Go tour Earth. Have a date. While on your date observe the fact that Phillip and his brother have left there history all over town and that there is some hope of fixing every thing. 2. A research episode that takes us threw the museum and library that leads us to an artifact or a text or a pool or some way of getting back and also defeating the collector 3. A conflict where Luz meets V's friends 4. a conflict between the witch hunter who captured V and the main cast where in the Emperor Gewe takes on a symbiote / host relationship, forms a new obstacle but he's taken out quickly since we don't have time. 5. We discover a magical or technological way home. we return to the demon world only to discover it has been turned in to a game bord full of dice and playing cards and crazy rules. Now we have to play by the rules and move along home, to the Owl House We then confront the collector and either defeat him by winning a bet or by showing kindness. We will have a way to imprison him but it won't be used. 6. An Epilogue with a time skip I don't think we have time to kill any one off so I feel we are safe now. we just need to get every one back or if we can't we can show them getting used to Earth. If we have a time skip before the Epilogue that would also be interesting. I would also love to explore the idea of what if the Day of Unity wasn't stopped or the idea of what if we never return to the demon world and are just stuck here? I would also love to see a series that tells the story of a romance that goes threw all the stages of childhood crush to married with children so audiences learn that stories don't end when you get married and love is some thing you work at. I also made an outline for an Anne vs Luz fight, if we ever got one round 1 : Magic trumps sword round 2 super saiy anne trumps magic but Luz is still smart and fast enough to out last Anne's time limit round 3 Destroying the moon trumps any thing Luz knows, even if she does use purification magic of every one fights Team Owl House has the advantage over every one until the Trio goes full gem power then they tip things back in there favor but Collector trumps core. the only one to have a better Life on Earth is Huntter. While Gus, Amity and Willow left there parents and families, Hunter left no one of value behind and only gained a better safer life. it would be interesting if it turned out that there was more to the story then we are being told and there are a few details I think we are forgetting, like Jean Luc . we still have to hatch that egg too and now I don't know what it'll be, all my ideas worked when it was still the day of Unity and Luz needed a last minuet win. Either way if I said any thing of interest here or if I say some thing interesting in the future, feel free to address it in a video.

I think the Collector has a lot in common with Yuugi, from Tenshi in Tokyo (from Tenshi Muyo franchise). She also was a kid with huge powers who wanted only to play and was sealed away for millenials (the diference is that Yuugi lost her playful attitude during her imprisonment and became darker). Also, Yuugi made friends with Sasami, but imprisoned her to not lost her, and the Collector is doing the same to King. And that circle of floating rocks around the pokeball reminds me the circle of magic gems Yuugi had. Besides, Dana Terrace already inspired on another Tenshi Muyo character - Ryoko - to create Eda.

Unfortunately Disney owns the rights to the whole show, that includes characters. A sequel outside of Disney won't be possible. I just wish Disney would consider having shows for older kids like The Owl House especially as they would do really well on Disney+ (at least that was their excuse for cancelling the show)

Vivienne Medrano, the creator of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, wanted to work with a company that would let her keep the copyright to Hazbin Hotel and it took her a long time to find one. I believe it's Nickelodeon who's known for having a bunch of pilot episodes of shows because they are even worse, if you want them to even consider your show you have to give them the rights. That means if Nickelodeon doesn't green light your show you can't even take it to another company. The reason Dana did that is because she essentially didn't have a choice. If she wanted people to see her show she had to work with a big corporation and essentially give up the rights of her characters. That's true for nearly every animated show.
