If we’re calling Jones undefeated because his loss was a DQ, then we’re saying results on paper don’t matter and it’s about who performed better on the night. And if you’re gonna do that then Jones did not perform better on the night than Dominic Reyes in their fight. The judges don’t get to rewatch the fight and see multiple angles when they submit their scorecards, and they got that one wrong. You can say the judges’ opinion is the result therefore he won, but if we’re counting that win which is only on paper then we have to count the loss to Matt Hamil which is on paper. Either way Jones has 1 loss.
