Here's the good news - it won't last long. Snyder is actually a pretty incompetent businessman. He made his money largely by being in the right business, at the right time, and then selling at the peak of the market right before it crashed in on itself. He got rich by fluke as much as anything else. He leveraged that into buying the then-Redskins, and literally no other business venture he has attempted has been successful. Everything he touches turns to sh--. That's why after being this wild spender earlier in his tenure, Washington was actually one of the cheapskate franchises in the league over the last decade or so. There were offseasons where the team literally didn't have enough liquid cash to put into escrow to sign high value free agents. It seems like it would take a long time to burn through $6b, but he's going to try his hand at other businesses, because Snyder is the kind of unreflective egomaniac who can NEVER admit that he's the problem and delegate. And so he'll burn through it over time.

Jon Gruden was old school NFL. He was made the fall guy by the sleaziest owner in the league and was fully killed off by calling out the commish. Realistically, these emails aren’t the worst thing said in an NFL locker room this month… let alone from a decade ago. I’m a rival Broncos fan and yet I will always support Jon Gruden, my generation could have had its own John Madden and instead he was sacrificed as Dan Snyder’s golden calf for god-ell. Even worse when you realize the depths of the Snyder cheerleader stuff.
