So I’m of Caribbean descent, I was taught black= African American, me being of African descent doesn’t mean I’m black, it means I’m of the diaspora. So I say all this to say black is a culture, but we’re all of the diaspora, we have different cultures, different foods, syntax of speech, but again we’re all children of the diaspora 😊

Black is a Lineage / Ethnicity Black Americans have been Black on the very first U.S census in America if you cannot Trace your Lineage to America prior to 1865 you are Not Black.

Terrible reasoning. Many Black people cant trace their roots as far back as 1865 due to records either being destroyed or not updated.

@@kennylafortune63the first National Racial census was in America in 1790 , Haiti was still Saint Domingue not only that Haitians speak French creole not English , there constitution says “Noir”not Black , Black Americans are Black ethnically, Haitians are their own Haitian ethnicity with there own French creole culture

If you can't trace your family back to the slavery days, which would probably land you somewhere in the southern states, which would make you a freedman, you're not of our same lineage (black). Its a cultural thing in America for black folks here but everyone usually has some information about their own family fleeing from the south to the north and / or slavery stories from their elders. If you were past generation was inslaved by the US government, you're black. If you have black skin but your family / lineage is of elsewhere, then you're not apart of our particle group that has been through a particle situation with the government of the United States. If you can get deported then youre not the same type of black we're referring to. (No shade just facts)
