Im so glad youre doing this. I actually tried to find you on your own channel to see if you had a lore channel about EVE. I started playing in Eram and read all the reports left at Site One. All of em seem to have fallen off in 2016. Would you be willing to make sense of all that for newer players joining after 2016? Id love it. Youve already done a good bit.

@@Ruhrich92 So big oof. Yeah, piecing all this stuff together is something I have been actively working on for several years now. Part of the point of this was to start building a foundation to increase literacy of the universe and maybe allow us to dig deeper than they did in 2010.

This is awesome ash. I am so ready to dive into this lore and learn everything. Are there activities players can do that "effect" npc story/decisions? Or is that the back ground noise to what we are doing?

Thing I don't get: If the Drifters are the emergent AI, Then why did they assassinate Jamyl Sarum, who was possessed at the time by The Other, the big bad emergent AI?
@Ashterothi3 жыл бұрын
That is a great question and something I want to go into in a later video that will cover the actual events that have played out during and since Carolyne Star. The short(ish) answer is there are some theories and the leading ones are that either the Drifters were "freeing" their brother (or possibly leader?) from being entangled with Jamyl, The Other could have been losing its war for her mind, we may not fully understand the nature of the Other( there may be factions within) or most likely it is because Reich had just scanned her, and if she resisted the Other or if the Other being inside her mind revealed their nature to the world that would compromise their plans. Whatever the exact reason, it was clear that Jamyl had served her "use" to the Other and it was easier, or more impactful to take her out in this way. For more information I would recommend "Inheritance" and the "And I Still Hide - Alternate" chronicles web.archive.org/web/20160227145637/wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/And_I_Shall_Hide_-_Alternate_(Chronicle)
@norrinzelkarr85723 жыл бұрын
@@Ashterothi Super helpful. Related question! When you're doing the sleeper combat sites in WHs, and decloak the structure at the end, you get attacked by a Drifter response battleship. Why do the Drifters care if you attack the Sleepers? Shouldn't they be happy?
@Ashterothi3 жыл бұрын
@@norrinzelkarr8572 The Other has completely taken over the Construct by this point. The Sleeper drones are likely either under control of the other directly, the Other is forcing the Sleepers to do what it wants, or the automated systems that are the traditional sleepers we see are simply alerting the Drifters there is an issue. It is worth noting that the Drifter Battleship that responds does not have a doomsday from my understanding, and thus would mean it is a lower priority objective for the Drifter forces. The Drifters still own and occupy the Construct, and thus most of Sleeper space, but ultimately your destruction of those facilities only demands a tactical response. Send in the Arithmos which is the greek root word for numbers as opposed to other Drifters named after Gods or military positions.

So everybody refuses to answer this. It's been seven years according to youtube since SCOPE reported the empress's death. Since then no one says much more. Since it was Jove she's probably really dead. But who's our emporer now ? In all those years they have no idea or haven't elected someone ? Is this like Oblivion where the heir or her are hiding in obscurity, so they can bring it up again when they feel like and announce she's not dead ? Also i've seen Jove ships in high sec. How does that shit happen without everyone flipping out ? I'm Amarrian. Should Concord or Amarr navy been shooting them down ?
