From my experience, Azucena is a damn demon. She is borderline impossible to counterattack. King and Jack can bulldoze a player that don't know how to deal with them. Victor's entire fighting style is Gimmick.

I'm gonna be honest with you... Azucena is a scrub killer lol. She's a strong character but when you know her frame data and what options you are supposed to take while dealing with her pressure. Beating her becomes significantly easier and that is why she has win rates that are closer to the lower end at higher levels of play. Tbh she actually falls off even harder than Katarina did in Tekken 7. As Katarina at least had a lot more competitively viable options.

@@fortniteman227 Azucena players generally do not block low for some reason I've noticed. In fact I'd argue most people that excel at lower levels with gimmick characters tend to have poor defense. So yes definitely exploit that if you play characters with strings that have lows in them. They will almost always get hit and even at higher levels you can get away with at least two or three low poke strings a round. As even really good players will need time to adjust to your playstyle and will attempt to block what you throw out.

6:07 This is absolutely true. As a Kuma main, a lot of ppl underestimate the bears, not understanding that we have insane range and 1 wiffed attack can and WILL cost you 60%+ of your life bar in most cases if you don't have the match-up knowledge.

I would put Jun higher than just annoying; its like most of her combos, her launchers, her punishes, they're all free, like she's plus on _existence,_ and you just lose. She even has a full-screen Heat Smash that gives her her white health back, so you cant even chip her out.

Mine are easily these 5: 1. Lars 2. Reina 3. Víctor 4. Paul 5. Devil Jin HONORABLE MENTION: Azucena These 5 are the the ones I face in EVERY SINGLE MATCH it drives me mad. I can deal with Jack and Jun but ones like Lars? Mind numbingly infuriating. My problem with Lars specifically is that he’s way waaay too overturned. Bro has way too much to his toolkit. It’s funny because you barely ever saw Lars back in any other game he was in. So I know people are only using him because he’s a top tier. Annoying as all hell he is. Reina too. If she hits you with something it’s almost guaranteed to all land seamlessly. The others are just annoying.

I don't think I could agree with your list more lol. Those 6 characters are by far the most annoying in the game to fight. Especially with Tekken 8's mechanics. In Tekken 7 and other previous titles they were no where near as annoying to deal with as they are now.

So I know that it's just a game but I think it's important to remember that almost all of the characters are using real martial arts. Xiaoyu IS a "nightmare" however, her being very evasive, her movement, is based of Bagua , a chinese martial art of which movement is circular; not linear (like Leo who uses Baji both xiao and da). She also uses wushu from what it looks like. I think if people actually had some knowledge or have actually practiced any martial art wouldn't have too much of a problem if you know how the forms/moves work irl and in game and when to apply them. Eddy Gordo, for example, uses Capoeira and a lot of people find him annoying due to ease of use. In reality, Capoeira actually kinda be like that with the constant movement and attacks. There's a reason why capoeira was created during slavery(Angola & Brazil). It's because it's disguised as a dance and deliberately deceitful. I think a lot of complaints are coming from folks who know nothing about martial arts and only the game. I mean it is a game so of course the moves are exaggerated but it's majority of regular characters movesets are grounded in reality and it's application for the most part.

Lars is one of the best characters ever created in Tekken and I'd keep him right where he is. This isnt MK where you can get me nerfed every 5 minutes because you're uncomfortable in BATTLE. Thats the point. You actually have to outfight me and even with a damage nerf his actual kit and feints are perfect for how I play so damage is the least of my worries. Its his mobility thats top tier. I tried Tekken for years and never really enjoyed it until they finally added Lars and after trying 5 whole games I'd say I deserve a character I like. Jin was always too stiff (hes 100% better now) Lee was too metro Heihachi was meh Hwoarang was ok but I got bored with only kicke King is cool but I dont like grapplers Raven was cool but not my style Lars entire kit just made Tekken make sense and I even learned how to play other characters once I understood the mechanics through him. For me he wasnt even nerfed in T7 and he had more combos. Punches, kicks, grapples, air throws, dash ins, feints = Perfect. Everyone just hates its hard to commit against him but he's actually very easy to fight since you can just interrupt his dash ins. Out of my whole online career in T7 I might have lost a total of 4 times since no one took him serious. There were better characters for the meta but he wasnt nerfed.
