The phrase ‘sons of god’ appears 5 times elsewhere in the Bible. 3 times in Job, in 1 Peter, and Jude. Who they are, is obvious.

And what exactly is meant by giant? You realize it can have more than one meaning in context correct?

Your comments are not very nice I'm watching him anyway because idk what the nephilim is and I want to learn so I started with the 1st video and I'll look up the man you named in the comments but I don't think that disrespectful comments are needed, your all most likely right because you have the knowledge and I have none...

This is a novel interpretation. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls illuminates what Gen 6, psalm 83, Job, etc are about. 1st Century Christians believed they were dieties who crossed the heaven/earth barrier and sought to create their own nation. Their instruction was complete depravity. A supernatural vision explains this far better.

They're just continuing with the metaphor. The same line of interpretation would apply to the other texts as well. It would be an odd thing to say that for centuries, Jews and early Christians believed that heavenly beings (i.e. angels/demons) could produce biological offspring with human beings, and then suddenly abandon that thesis completely, leaving no trace of it in the subsequent tradition. It's a metaphor. -- Dr. Bulzacchelli

Sir, this is just your own opinion right? I mean it seems the Church has no official explanation of this.

Correct. The Church has no teaching on this question. This is just my own interpretation, but I believe it to be a permissible opinion and a probable one.

The only rational creatures are angels and men. We don't believe in half demons. The flood was a punishment for sin.

Well that’s rather shocking. Are you suggesting that Catholic people - even scholars and professors - cannot read or discuss the Bible? What on earth do you do with the admonishment to be like the Bereans? One MUST read the Bible and verify the veracity on what a professed teacher says. We are told to do this, repeatedly.
