Shane's got all bases covered. Nice job. I find the older cars easier to work on, to change a light on newer cars, I had to take half the side of the car off. Also, nice ducks 🦆 enjoy the weather😎

Wow that was certainly interesting. I wish my lights were setup like yours so i could remove the coveras mine are all inbuilt. Couldnt believe the amount of rust though. I think i will be checking my bulbs now and replacing any cheap ones with better ones. At least you got it done in less time its taken me to work on my car. Just hope your not back on it for a long time.

That back light cluster is troublesome for leaking water, the channel comes down the side of the tailgate onto the light fitting. It was regularly getting water in the light fitting until we put a track of bluetack to divert the water off to the side - bluetack everyone's favourite. Did you manage to get yours to start?

@@ShaneAndLisa Yeah i had it up and running then noticed a bit of smoke coming from the cap where you put the oil and smoke coming out the coolant tank so now i have to totally strip it and definately replace the head gasket. But now i know how to do it i can hopefully have it done within a couple of days rather than weeks. But im just taking time to rest at the moment as i feel like im in my 90's

Looks like your 106 has escaped the dreaded rear beam failure.

The rear beam was an issue for the 106 models, saw a while back there was a kit... torsion beam or similar from memory but probably not being made now as that was some years back. Current state of the roads give it some stick though, like riding a wooden roller coaster, shakes the old bones up a little.
