Kro lots of grip enthusiasts out there, they are going to be better than any normal person and most power lifters who’ve never done those exercises. Brian has large hands, is a 4x wsm, and has trained grip for years. He’s casually broken grip strength world records on implements he’s seen for the first time. That thing isn’t easy to pick up, and even if a few grip nuts out there could do it, it’s going to be very few and not your neighbor who’s a semi pro strongman.

Navy seals are forced to do thousands of pull ups in training not to get stronger but to fatigue them and mentally exhaust them so honestly I’m not surprised many come out the other end having ingrained improper form in order to conserve energy. I mean the only navy seal I’ve seen with good form is david goggins but he lives for that shit so I think he’s an exception. You also see it in their push ups as well. Not exactly textbook. But I don’t think it really matters that much. People like to point shit like that out mostly cause they’re insecure and can’t do as many even with shitty form. Good form is mostly about injury prevention and to get the most out of an excercise.

No, he’s got a point. Strongmen wouldn’t be good in a long distance march; literally just too much weight to move easily. Not only that but modern wars don’t really need that much strength besides carrying equipment and the occasional entrenching work or hand to hand fight. Now, if we’re talking medieval battlefields.. yeah. This guy would be a monster. He could easily equip heavy weapons and armor, smashing enemies with poleweapons and the likes. The biggest problem with Brian is that he’d be too large to mount a horse!

I loved how the navy seal had to hold the rowing machine down so Brian wouldn’t pull it over.

I enjoy working my grip strength as well. Several times a day when I'm just doing nothing, I'll stick arms out (T pose) and start making a fist over and over until my hands will barely close anymore. It's such a simple technique but it is *very* effective and can be done literally anywhere. I've done that every day since I was in high school(20+ years) when I worked part-time at a Brick Yard.
