Both did a great job! From my experience with this cake I would mix the yolks, the vanilla and the sugar REALLY well (at least 5 minutes) to incorporate a lot of air. You know when you're done when it changed to a lighter colour and the volume increased. And use a sieve to sift in the cacao powder and flour. Use only a spatula to fold it in (before you fold in the egg whites). And as Hannah said the key to this recipe is to watch the batter in the oven very carefully.
