Just my experience and own opinion, collectors are less drawn to Richemont & LVMH brands today becasue of the identity reducing fashion influence and some cross-breeding designs. The independants are going to do better.
@sirbuftontufton58466 жыл бұрын
I think the independents have more freedom to control their own destiny. Whether they do it well (Rolex) or badly (Breitling until 2017) is a different matter. In recent times, Richemont seem to have restricted JLC to a specific corner of their brand portfolio (probably a mistake), but Lange are doing amazing stuff in the same group.

Great walk down conglomerate road Jon. in your opinion do think the smaller players couldn’t survive on their own? I would think the big 3 Rolex, Patek, AP outspend exponentially on advertising....especially Rolex. Advertising dollars got to be a big part of it.

Jon, great video. What do you think of some of these conglomerates (particularly Richemont) moving towards more and more Boutique Only watches, while others are trimming retail ADs?

Rolex is independent? You forgot about Tudor?
@juanvelez56996 жыл бұрын
By independent he meant that they are not owned by a 3rd party or belong to an association that is without their control, that being said tudor is a part or subdivision of rolex, it's more like Lexus and Toyota, hope it explains
