Who expected this from NECA TMNT? Chakahachi and Lotus!

Lotus was my most anticipated figure. So much that when i heard about cartoon TMNT by neca years ago. I hoped it would last long enough to get Lotus. Lotus turns good in her second/final appearance.

@@Chalor. since Talia is Batman's female, Lotus will beat her, because almost all women (except Shiva) are helpless in a straight confrontation, always running away or expecting Fatman to be easy on them (mostly seducing their opponents in all of the fights). But when the things are starting to get rough (like Cyber-cat attacking Catwoman, Red claw attacking Harley or Ras trashing up Talia), they are almost always needs to be saved or protected by B-man or other more powerful ally. Lotus on the other hand, beat all her adult male teachers when she was just 10 (not to mention taking out all of the turtles at once with ease, beating up Leonardo with and without tricks, and of course, giving Shredder and both of his mutants K.O. at once). So she's almost like Lady Shiva in her universe. And as you all know, Talia is nowhere as good as Shiva, so Lotus will definitely win.

I've been an unintentional completist with this (and the movie) line, up until these guys - other than still waiting to acquire the toon accessories set for under 130 freakin' dollars. I know I was still watching the show by season 3, but have zero recollection of Lotus, and especially not blue dead samurai dude. But now that I'm subjecting myself to reviews of 'em, boy do I regret not ordering a set. Other than Lotus's eyes being _really_ far apart, these two look freakin' beautiful...like literally every NECA release.

What a top review once again! I looked into that Grunt mis-painted hand issue and I noticed that NECA always release some official photos for each of their releases, and one of the official pictures is the whole contents of the box displayed out with a pure white background, (similar to how you display all the contents out on the table in your reviews). Well in the Grunt/Jersey Red official 'contents' picture, it only shows Grunt as having two extra hands and Jersey Red having four extra hands, (in addition to the balled up fists that each character has as a default). However in the actual release, Grunt has four extra hands, whereby two look like monster hands but in human skin colour. So it seems like NECA's original intention was not to include mutant gripping hands period, (as per the contents picture, and in line with the other gang member releases), and so the real error is that we got two extra pieces of (useless) plastic hands in our box that we shouldn't have, as opposed to getting the correct hands painted in the wrong colour. Perhaps they sculpted these hands and then created the set of injection molds for all of the pieces of Grunt, and then changed their mind on giving him mutant gripping hands at a later stage. However they had already sent the molds to the factory at this point and the factory just injected the plastic into all the molds they were given and with each Grunt these extra hands are created and they had no idea what to do with them and so just popped them in the box too rather than chucking them away? Bizarre!

"Sometimes you gotta plug yourself" the words Nintendo WISHES they had used in their promos 🤣 I'm trying to limit my toon turtle collecting but it's hard to pass up a ghost samurai in toon form. If.. What's so mind boggling with this line is that the figures are hand-painted. HAND FREAKIN' PAINTED! Now that's some ridiculous slave labour right there, but we thank you...even when you have an off day and we get derpy eyes. And boy, imagine if NECA took the hasbro route with slowly introducing pinless bodies, and redoing _every single figure_ from this line, but pinless. No thanks...I'm totally fine with the pins.
