I have straight and homosexual friends, none of which need their sexual orientation being the center of attention because it's just that. As for everyone laughing while she was saying that, does not necessarily mean it was funny, but could also be a sign that everyone is uncomfortable and just laughs to make it pass. I don't know these people very well and if making weird jokes about gay people is their schtick, I don't think I want to stick around then.

@@CATgamingz It was pretty clearly a joke about gay subculture and how different her college experience was to what was being described. She wasn't saying the story needed to "cater" to her, and certainly not that it should've "catered to her sexual preferences". She's saying the story is extra wild to her because it's so far outside of her experience, something linked to her orientation only through the subculture it caused her to interact with.
