Different people have different ranges: alto, soprano, mezzo-soprano, bass, tenor, etc. Not all of them could have sang the same song without it affecting their vocal cords.

Osie - there's potential just needs to refine her sound and better breath control Danny - has more of a "Broadway" voice, it's a big sharp at times SimplyRich - has a warm tone, very nice Edmond - obviously nervous as his voice is very shaky but with confidence, there's potential. As an opera singer in training it would've been soo cool to see a wider range of singers like opera/Chinese opera singers, Indian classical singers, pop artists from Latin America, nordic folk singers, etc not just like singer-songwriters and people who do singing casually. JUBILEE!!! Please have a round where they sing the same song. It’s easier to compare the vocals. Sometimes it’s kind of hard to get into a performance when most of the artists are singing their own songs because we might not favor their song writing as much as we love their vocals so it can be a bit off putting. I definitely think there should be a “ranking song writers” video though.

SOMEWHAT fair. But the song selected has to be chosen wisely and be able to be comfortably modulated for range constraints (bass, tenor, alto, soprano) which is easy, but some songs dip too low or too high when they’re “comfortable” in their original octave or voice type. I definitely agree though. A song that focuses more on tone and being in pitch would be nice.

Ocie, Richard, Edmond, Layla, Danny. That is the order that I found them enjoyable. I usually don’t enjoy female voices as much.. but Ocie is a beautiful singer.

They all had pretty similar voices in my opinion atleast. Their wasn’t like any high sepranos, real now altos, Or actually low male singers. Def none were very classical. Btw like most of them seem like singers in terms of media but not like broadway singers

I think they're really close in voice skills. Personally I don't like the performances, but I think its the way this is recorded (acapella)

@@aferak145 true but acapella can be quite difficult to sing through (pitch wise), and as an audience it can be hard to get a sense of the song without at least something to back it up even if quiet. There's also things like rhythm and groove which are harder to account for acapella. Also it's just way more nerve wracking lol but I guess that's just part of this experience

Layla was too humble. From a personal standpoint of someone who has received guidance and lessons in different genres of music, and someone who was the youngest in her choir to sing for the Pope, she is the most technical singer here, and projected more. Not to say that the others weren’t great, because they were. However, they did not show as much skill as Layla, for some especially in pitch and the runs, though I will take into account that they must’ve been nervous (which can affect how you sing). I just think that they might want to receive more vocal training and guidance if they want to improve even even more, cause they all got it! Remember: Everyone starts somewhere, and even the most skillful of people strive to learn and improve even more!
