Πηγές υπάρχουν πολλές, μπορείς όμως να ξεκινήσεις την έρευνα σου από τις εξής δύο: - Hesiod, the Homeric Hymns and Homerica, Hymn IV, “To Hermes” - Bibliotheca by Apollodorus (or Pseudo-Apollodorus), Book III

κλπ κλπ

@@SEIKILO In the myths he killed a tortoise (poor tortoise), and used the hollowed out shell, then put the horns of the cattle he stole from Apollo (that story always makes me laugh), and ate (after sacrificing it to the Gods), and used the guts to make strings. After Apollo found Hermes, and confronted him about his stolen cattle (and after taking him to their father, Zeus), Hermes distracted his big brother by bringing out his newly invented lyre, and playing it. He gave it to Apollo in exchange for Apollo's cattle, the Caduceus, winged sandals and winged helmet (though the Caduceus, talaria, and helmet apparently were exchanged for a syrinx {double flute that Hermes also invented}). Apollo became the God of Music, and declared Hermes the most beloved God. The two became best friends after that, and stayed best friends. Hermes is probably the only sibling Apollo is the closest to (besides his twin sister, Artemis).

This is great. The story was new to me. I love how it was told. I wish to buy this book and ask the office to send me one picture of the typical page to see if my machine can read it for me. I hope they'll send it to me soon.:-)
