Hey everyone, I would like to apologize for my carelessness. I should not have referred to the other products as “crappy knockoffs”. I have never used them, and have no right to make baseless accusations like that. I’m sorry.

Don’t apologize bro. You have every right to your opinion. They are definitely knockoffs but also a necessary evil. Unfortunately it’s hard to get a CineBack cause they are only in stock for curtain periods . I almost gave up until I saw a design on AliExpress. I thought it was sketch at first but it had a lot of good reviews. I plan on making a video about it soon. Just subbed to your channel btw . Great video

Hey Brad what makes you say that the other brands offering the same type of solution are "crappy knockoffs"? Is it because you've ordered and tested them to compare? Is it because Caleb sent you a free Cineback when the others didn't? If you look around the room you're filming in you could probably spot countless products that were swiftly copied and in many cases improved on. Just my take on that part of the video.

I own the rigidpro and the build quality and functionality is top notch from my experience. I thought I would give it a go as cineback is rarely ever in stock. Totally agree with your take on this part of the video. No need to dick ride the brand that was given to you for free.

@@kyleroxasphoto they all use aluminum cheese plates, 3D printed housings and off-the-shelf electronics. My guess is they are all equally good with just slight design changes.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think it's too expensive for cheese plates and V-mount holders with only D-tap adapters.

Brad, those "crappy knockoffs" are brands that make a similar product. Thats the beauty of capitalism. Or would you prefer to only have one mirrorless camera brand? 🤔

*I have the Rigid Pro and I own the FX30 less expensive does the same and have had no issues. But in the long run they all do the same but I like it but if ya got a 3D printer you could make your own but too each their own*

The biggest issue that hasn’t been addressed is how it holds up in warmer shooting scenarios. 3D printed parts are notorious for warping in the heat.

Wow dude, you were doing a good job with this video until you had to knock other brands with the "Crappy knockoffs" comment. Ever try ordering and PURCHASING one of Caleb's Cinebacks? Looks like you got yours for free. I have missed the release 3x and finally got frustrated and bought the Rigid Pro which is ALWAYS IN STOCK has a few advantages (warranty, 3D Material and the D-Tap Port is improved). Got mine in 3 days. No shade to Caleb, as I follow him and think he does a great job, but I feel you're not totally grasping the reason for this device. It's not about vanity or charging customers more. It's about increasing the usability of our cameras for different scenarios. "Roleplay as a professional"? I think that's precisely what you're doing here. You've got the video quality on your video, now you need to work on your content being more professional rather than roleplaying.

I was able to get mine 2nd batch. 1st come 1st serve. Bad wifi, slow computer, it all has an effect 😂🤷‍♀️

@@gwm-btdbattlesagar.ioandmo9988 that’s great. On the two releases I wanted to purchase I was either working or traveling. By the time I got to a place to check they were out. Again nothing against Caleb at all. I just missed them. I’m happy with my choice. Video is in production now.

I like your thoughtsj and research on this definitely interested to try one out. I'd also be interested in the Monitor you're using since it's so small. which one is it and can you recommend it?

What makes a small hybrid camera so great is the size and ability to run around with it and shoot things easier than a large camera. I don't see any point to Cineback, other than trying to make your little camera something it's not. Pure vanity.

Overkill.. Less is more ! The second people rig up a DSLR like this, they cancel out a ton of other camera movements and operating. I like small cameras small, and let larger cameras be large.

Cineback is kinda lame. Just choose a camera with an ENG/box form factor from the get go if that’s what you want. i.e. FS5/FS7/ursaMini/C200C300C100/F3 just to name a few. For example an FS7 shoots 4k10bit422 internal with internal NDs. Not to mention they go for $900 for the full kit. You can get 4 full kits for cheaper than an FX3+cineback. If you can’t make a great film with an FS7 you won’t be able to with an FX3 anyway.

You can break this one down for gimbal or smaller setups. You can't with eng like fx6 without sacrificing audio

Cool video but what I will say and what you won't understand and your needs are being met, Sony isn't the only brand that made cameras, people like me who shoot Lumix want to have a Comeback but can't because Lumix wasn't taken into consideration when making this rig. The rigid pro version is very well built and is for the Lumix S5II/X how long should we wait for one from Caleb? It's not likely to come.
