You were candid, emotional and vulnerable during this interview. Thank you. It is refreshing to see someone genuinely putting themselves out there. For happiness, I feel only fools chase happiness. It's not humanly possible to be happy all the time. Happiness is special in that it is fleeting. To experience true happiness you also need to experience true grief. Light cannot exist without darkness, and neither can darkness without light. Yin and Yang. It's the eternal balance. I always find solace in thinking that work, the purpose we devote ourselves to, the place we spend the majority of our days, is like a game. A game that you try to beat. A game that keeps you busy and keeps your mind from going off the deep end into introspection and existential grief. It's a game to play between all the really important stuff in life. Friends, Family and God. Everything concerned with them is important and drives purpose. They are markers along a path that the human mind cannot comprehend but in retrospective. I know it's cliché to say but having faith in a life after this really helps. Sounds like a cheat but it's just the human condition and how we're built. Play the game but don't mistake it for life. Ofcourse, that's just what I think.
