Man, I still remember the scene in New Warriors when Dwayne can't remember his parents faces... and you just see them as faceless corpses... and how deeply it effected him. And the time he didn't realize Rage had better dealt with family loss than Thrash himself, and reopened that wound for his ward. Then having to fix an emotional wound he caused. For whatever problems gave him life, he had some great character moments.

I actually used to be a fan of Night Thrasher. Seeing a badass superhero who rode a skateboard inspired me to try skateboarding as a teen. I wasn't very good at it but I still had fun. Loved original Thrasher since his inception and have Every appearance. Major "Bummed "when he died in Civil WAR and always thought the "MTV" TEAM theme was beneath the character. Never much liked his Brother,due to THEIR "rivalry"(you KNOW what I mean). Saw him in INCOMING and wondered HOW. Not a game guy so didn't get every issue of CONTEST(OOPS). ...NOW I know that this IS "Thrashman". THANKS FOR THE INFO. I saw him with Blue Marvel,if this "team" hangs around count me in.

Little by little add the team up make Bandit his Robin, have him meet White Tiger Ava Ayala as his potential love interest / partner. Blindspot be his protege instead of Daredevil's make him more like his version of Jason Todd. I'd also have him just go after the who's who of villains ofbthe week.

They totally missed the gem of making Night Thrasher Marvel’s smarter Batman. They also need to revisit the story of the Children of the Pact. They should make a 12 issue maxi-series to revisit the Children of the Pact and relaunch the New Warriors. I would love to see this. For real.

I loved how as a young teenager, I was able to see a black male as the leader of a superhero team. It was awesome!. We will see how this new run will be in April. He was one of my favorite characters reading in the 90's He was one of the few cool black characters in comics which was nice to have as a black kid. It unfortunately at times hurt the character, comic book writers some times would write characters in stereo typically black circumstances as if we would some how forget the character was black. But that aside he was a character with so much potential but was just tossed to the side never feeling he reached the levels he could have. P.S. The bombshell of learning his surrogate parents were actually his parents killers after the first 25 issues had me trip'n

Yeah I think that was the main problem with Thrasher and many other black characters. There were rarely, if ever, any black people actually writing them. Nowadays, we have a lot more black and brown people in Marvel and DC, and all of a sudden the characters are starting to improve. If only they started out with that in the beginning... hell, there's no telling what Night Thrasher would have become

I know he is similar to Batman, but I always thought of him as a lower rent version of Iron Man. Hell, they crossed over at one point during his solo series. But I always did feel like he was a character that passed under too many radars. My high school buddy Kareem introduced me to him (that's right, I was in high school during the 90s). This video is a great introduction to the character, skateboard and all.

Blerd Without Fear Same here! Most the time in comic books when they gave a black character some important it was always female. So it was nice to have a young enthusiastic, intelligent and capable leader to refer to back then. It shaped me more than they’ll probably ever know. One more thing I’m kind of bummed out on the fact that Duane McDuffie didn’t like that character that much. Because Duane McDuffie is another one of my favorite and biggest heroes.

Always loved this character. Never got the love he deserved, much like Black Panther(until recently). Since my favorite all-time character is Batman, I gravitated to many characters like this. Even Spiderman, my #2 favorite superhero character, had that vulnerability that drew me to him. I hope Night Thrasher would get more attention. He's cool. In fact, one of my favorite stories I own in trade features him teaming up with Spiderman, Punisher, Moon Knight, Nova and Darkhawk. It's awesome. It's a story called Round Robin.

Night Thrasher was one of my favorite newer superheroes featured back in the 90's. The reason why I liked this character was his martial arts style meshed with Modern Arnis, a martial art that I was studying back in the 90's.

Marvel done him wrong cause he never met Spider-Man, didn’t get a one shot or limited series, was the only symbiote to be able to glide or hover and the Hybrid that is shown after him isn’t really Hybrid just the 4 symbiotes twisted together...!

Marvel Boy was never telepathic. He had telekinesis. Also Thrasher didn't "grab" Robbie and Nita, they both turned up when the other four were battling Terrax in the 1st issue of NW.

I've been researching black characters to cover on this channel for a while now and it breaks my heart how many I stumble across that are getting zero time to shine. Man, I used to love Night Thrasher! Discovered him when Darkhawk was associating with the New Warriors, and suddenly I had a new book to flip through at the store. I didn’t know he’d been restored recently, though. I would LOVE if Marvel put him to use. He could foreal be great for the small screen once Disney+ gets through their first couple waves of Marvel programming.
