I guess I qualify as strategic with gaming? Or extremely unstrategic, depending on how you look at it. Basically, I figure out what I am GOING to do and then I make it happen. Kobold spellcaster character who's also a the party healbot/meat shield? Made it happen, actually worked great except she couldn't hit the side of the a barn with attacks. I came up with what I wanted to do, then planned everything from stat allocation, spell selection and armor choice with a heavy focus on defense, constitution, increasing HP, and healing. All because I thought an enslaved kobald who sucked at basic tasks so much that she started taking punishments in the place of more productive tribe members just to feel like she was contributing SOMETHING to the group seemed like a cool character, and concluded that that would require an extremely strong will, ability to take a hit, and selfless tendencies, and planned out everything around the character concept. Not quite the same as min-maxing though, as I'll happily shoot myself in the foot in terms of efficiency if I think something else works better for the concept I want to use.

Actually Athena turning Medusa into a gorgon is propaganda she was *always*and the only written source for the arachne myth is written by ovid who made up the whole Medusa being turned into a gorgon thing not to mention that she acts nothing like herself in it so it's pretty safe to say that he changed it too a lot of the bad stuff that Athena did is ether Roman only misconception or depends on the version
