Can't believe the same people who made the food chain episode for one of my favorite childhood shows is now adapting one of my favorite manga's 😁😁😁😁🤩 After watching scott pilgrim takes off science saru is quickly becoming one of my favorite anime studios thanks for this video going into detail about science saru

So well edited and explained. Thanks for making this. It's a great little mini-documentary! I had seen "Lu Over the Wall" and "Ride Your Wave", both of which I enjoyed, but it wasn't until Eizouken that I really knew about Science Saru. They're such a great studio and the new Scott Pilgrim series is fantastic as well ^_^.

if you'd like a little easter egg... derivatives of the science saru logo creature appears a few times in yuasa and choi's 2008 anime Kaiba (Madhouse), notably in the opening scene. I'm not sure, but this may be the first time the logo ever appeared! Kaiba's one of my favorites, I definitely recommend it if you're going through these two artists' history or want something both surreal and thought-provoking.

I've been aware of the studio and some of the people involved for quite a while now, but I never knew they had done some western cartoons, now that's both surprising and not so, given their arr styles. I tend to go for their less popular works, it's like a curse, the ones I decide to watch never get as much attention. Their latest (?) film, Inu-Ou was a surreal music montage and the latest anime I've watched from them, Heike Monogatari, was fantastic (the background work on that show was beyond fitting), but it must be because I'm an epic poem liker because both have some base on The Tale of the Heike on different levels. The later half of the video had me feeling like you read my mind, because when they announced they were going to do Dandadan I had this lingering fear of the studio getting bigger and bigger projects, getting more corporate and losing that unique polished touch they give all their works and, in turn losing potential gems of theirs in the future, but your segment managed to extend my hope for them, maybe I'm being to negative and not every studio has to follow that path once they gain that level of recognition

Your writing style makes one feel like they know nothing at first only to get disappointed upon finding out your knowledge is also surface level. How bout saying “I didn’t know and let’s see what I found out” instead of saying “you dunno either, lemme tell you the truth”.

The concept of anime being distinct from animation is a western invention reinforced by the fact that most japanese animation is dogshit.
