So, letting Shadowheart make her own decision in the Shadowfell actually leads to a different outcome based on her level of approval for you. With low approval, there is nothing to convince her that shedding her mortal bonds for Shar is a bad idea, but if you are close, she can't make the decision to relinquish your bond for Shar. I think it's very sweet and plays well intom the thing Shar has about "only having love for her."

Great video. Shart is by far my favorite character in the game. I really enjoy that often times in this game the best decisions for your companions arent always the ones they want themselves.

Hey, don't feel bad persuading her. I'm sure in retrospect Shadowheart would thank you for not letting her go down the dark path. In my first playthrough, I tried over and over to persuade her, and ended up killing her rather than let her kill Nightsong 😓
