@@peterhowells7309 "Justice", "glory" and "liberty" are metaphysical concepts, so it seems you already believe in the possibility of a metaphysical domain. I don't know his words but the images he put on paper are amazing and belong next to the most well known Western artists of the past one thousand years! You always make my mind wander away with what you say! Serfdom, I think just that subject is not understood by the current generation. That would be a challenging dig to dive into when most people would think not just having their cell phone with them is too much suffering! A powerful presentation from your heart ! He reminds me of Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain-- of course Clemens didn't himself come from a suppressed culture or background of colonization, but he had a strong empathy for those that did, and was one of the most merciless and clever critics of our own expansionism and imperialist phase. He also upheld a prose and a way of speaking that was considered 'lowly' or 'uncivilized' in high-society rather than writing and speaking in 'proper' English.

The deletions was very decisively noticeable in restricting expansion of expression. Being Gagged. Is frustrating. See how I can say and speak about this. At the top of the page a box appears and says your password has been leaked. So the alogrithm allows me to talk freely about this. But blocks my words on Russia. Recently in a reply window where yo evaluate You Tube. I marked it as Poor. One thing I have noticed. A couple of times. It discriminates against females. You can hardly write any thing. This is designed to get rid of people. Once in my life I had to see a psychologist. He said he could not understand me. And he failed to open doors. My reply was , You have the legs cut off my chair. You are looking down on me. He mentioned he had only been told once before. By a woman ! I demanded his chair . And told him . His was now mine. What had I done wrong. Thank you, Anna. Great talk about a great hero. Shevchenko was also known for his beautiful singing voice as mentioned by his contemporaries. In Washington D.C. there is a wonderful statue of Shevchenko with his quote from one of his poems, "When will we (Ukraine) have our Washington." This was a statue the Ukrainian diaspora installed in 1964.

Thank you Anna. Very interesting explanation of the talent and importance of Shevchenko. I had not realised that he was also a talented artist - I like his drawings very much.

Thanks Anna for a great history lesson! Taras would be very proud of people like you! May the Spirit of Shevchenko help to secure Ukraine's freedom from russian aggression and a just peace, with the return of Crimea and all the kidnapped Ukrainian children.
