Tbh it just seems like the writers needed a plot to get Diana into the situation and in the middle of it all. Causes more conflict with Monet with the snowball effect, of course the logical thing would definitely have been to just give the bag to Davis but then the plot wouldn't have progressed to Diana telling Lorenzo who then went to kill Zeke
