Progression for this manga it's so good from. Sliding slow, to sliding as fast as ingenium, to double jumping, to discover the way his force works could be inverted and even gathered on a single point as an attack device, to full cowling himself in repulsive force. I love how the quirk is not evolving. It was always a great quirk, but unexplored and unconsciously locked away by his mom and his own self of preservation to not use it while standing as he already fell once. Kinda like navel laser or sero's tape if explored a bit more

I really like Koichi. he's a super fun protagonist. I will say, I don't think he's nearly as good as Deku is as a whole, but he certainly has his own charm and there's still a lot to love about him.

He initially wanted to be a pro-hero but he missed the entrance exam because he was being a hero. I disagree with part of what you're saying he may never be on the power level of All Might but he is as heroic as All Might.

My theory is that 'Slide and Glide' was a misnomer. The quirk is actually the repulsion force that comes from his hands and feet. People before him only knew how to use it for transportation so it was referred to as "slide and glide" but Koichi is the first person with this quirk to push it to the next level.

His Quirk actually gives him a repelling force field around his body if I remember correctly like a different form of Tactile Telekinesis the only reason it's named Slide n' Glide is because he genuinely thought that's all his Quirk can do since his mom stopped him from flying when he was a baby to the point he forgot he could even fly in the first place

I like that even Koichi's dreams came true in a very Monkey's Paw way. Spoilers ahead: by the end of the Manga, Koichi becomes a licensed hero/sidekick in America, but that is due to the impending mass of lawsuits for property damage and quirk abuse that await him back in Japan I really like the underlying theme of Vigilantes, that is "sometimes dreams fade or get twisted out of your control, pick yourself up and deal with it"
