Puppey has to be there with 4 TI finals appearances with 1 TI title in the first TI and the longevity to attend TI1-TI11 is unparalleled and n0tail is the most accomplished in Valve-sanctioned tournaments (4 Valve major wins) and back-to-back TI wins certainly cements his place as one of the GOATs as well. n0tail has also won those majors either as carry/support so the flexibility to change roles while winning is god-tier level.

For me it is pure of passion and mentally healthy ana. Dude isn't the best farmer like RTZ or Ame, doesn't have the longevity that Puppey and Kuro had, doesn't have the leadership of Ceb or beat the career earnings of N0tail, doesn't have Dendi's continued passion, Miracle's genius or Sumail's confidence. However peak ana's decision making is way above most Pos 1 players. He is confident when needed(during clutch) and best of all, in game adjustments that NOBODY is on par with.

Miracle is the undoubtedly the greatest raw talent we have seen so far, but the GOAT title has to go to N0tail because he succeeded where everyone else had failed. The perseverance the guy had was amazing. Its insane how he never lost hope. All the people he depended on deserted him and right when he was on the edge, he did the impossible. As time passes opinions become subjective, but for me Jerax was the goat during his prime. The guy was soo fucking intelligent some subtle 200 IQ plays and calls of his won OG 2 TI's. All 5 players stacked into a heavenly synergy that produced the best Dota we've ever seen, but Jerax imo was the key element to all that magic by a long shot he made it all work. Edit: Okay actually speaking of Goats its more like Puppey. What I meant about Jerax is he was the Goat of OG and the best player in Dota at the time. Miracle had his run as the absolute top player too so can't miss to mention him. Ceb and Notail were really important to maintain the team dynamic and positivity and motivation going, but in terms of sheer gameplay Jerax was the one making a lot of important in game calls and moves that ultimately nobody saw coming. Other than that little miss imo your list is pretty damn on point.

Puppey/notail = longevity and success. Kuro and xiao8 slightly behind. Miracle/Sumail have high peak in their prime but puppey/notail have way longer longevity and consistancy. People often forget Notail won 4 or 5 majors as a carry and won 2 ti as a support. Notail on illusion carries(PL, Naga, TB and Alche) was a monster.

For me its Miracle-. DOTA without Miracle means nothing. No one beats Miracle in his prime. I started playing DoTA back in 2006 (just so you know that I can be entitled to input my insight😂), then in 2013 was the official release of DoTA 2. And yes DoTA was already there but not that impactful, until Miracle came and became the first ever player in DOTA 2 history to reach 9000 plus MMR. Kids and adults knows Miracle- and that is a sign of how popular he is and he is the reason why many players around the World plays DOTA. And also not to mention his unrivaled hi-lights as well. Please dont be mad at me this is just my opinion, and again for me Miracle- is the GOAT OF DOTA

People like to say OG because they won TI twice, but TI is not the only Dota tournament that matters. The prize pool does not make the tournament, and that especially held true before OG was a thing. Players had to scratch and claw to win 5 digit cash and tournaments like Dreamhack, StarLadder, ESL One, etc. were the big tournaments up to now. Puppey has won a shit ton of tournaments, placed 2nd at TI THRICE, and has remained relevant in the scene since before Dota 2. Not one season (except this one) did we not give a crap about Puppey Na'Vi or Team Secret. N0tail also makes a contention because of his versatility, not just because he won TI twice. Dude won 4 Majors as a carry and 2 TIs as a support. Maybe not as consistent as Puppey but definitely there for being a god in the micro and macro game.

Notail’s top 1 earning is hard to argue against, after all that is what every pro player is playing for, if there was no money involve there would be no “pro”. Puppey longevity means he is able to generate income for a decade playing the game at the highest level, very hard to argue against when we talk about goats. Miracle- His plays make you to wow and experience a positive emotion just watching the game, his highlight reel makes you want to just load up dota 2 and play, there’s no other player that can give you as much emotion as Miracle. He also backed up his flashy game play with 2 major wins as soon as he joined the pro scene and capping it off with a TI win playing carry even though his main role is mid. The only player to solo rampage a whole freaking team and make the enemy tap out GG in a freaking pro match. The fact that his nick name was given to him by his peers speaks volume, he didn’t choose the name Miracle, he used it because his first group of dota friends and foes kept calling him that because how insanely talented he is. With both flashy game plays and big tournament wins to back up, it’s very hard to argue against him. Very hard to pick between these 3 but for me it has to be Miracle due to how well rounded he is between godly game play and major tournament wins including TI.

But the pure bliss of OG's cinderalla story from TI8 to the repeat beatdown at TI9 was the peak of Dota's pro circuit and the international. Not in my own words but from some random guy on the internet, "Ana's return, Ceb's redemption as a player, Notail's story, Jerax's loyalty to his falling team and Topson proving himself as more than a pub star". There will never be a better story written in Esports let alone in just Dota 2. That, for me, was the peak of Dota 2.

We have this Dota 2 lore where Miracle is, without a doubt, the most skilled player in his prime days, and no one can compare to him. He is a GOAT. We can’t deny that we love Dendi because of his charisma and passion for Dota 2. How can we forget the iconic fountain hook that we never imagined could be done? Other MOBA games have tried the fountain hook and are still looking at this bug in any kind of MOBA games. In terms of achievements, Notail is at the top among achievers, just like Ceb. But Ceb took on other roles and proved that no matter what position he has in Dota 2, he is good at this game. Now, Puppey is consistent and amazing. Despite his age, he is good and always appears in TI! and majors. I believe Koro wants to compete with what Puppey achieves. He’s trying hard to be a GOAT, but he is a TI champ and shows amazing performance in Dota 2 and Frozen Throne. He was a monster in Dota 1. Jerax also deserves to be mentioned in this video. I would like to mention these Knights of Dota 2: Faith-bian, Sumail, S4, UNiVeRsE, Aui_2000, MinD_ContRoL,MATUMBAMAN,xiao8,Loda. And these uncrowned Knights of Dota 2: Ame, Rtz, Dj, Mushi, Fy, Nisha, Fly, and more. These players are retired and still competing. I think the dude is talented but not THAT on the level of GOAT, as Fans kept on exaggerating his Skills, Miracle somewhat seems like an Overrated Player ngl When Matu left Liquid Miracle Fans thought it was a good decision because of Matu’s lack of Hero-Pool,…w33 came in and got 2nd Place of TI9, after rhat Miracle Fans thought Matu and w33 was carried by Miracle’s Gamestyle Turns out when Matu and w33 never came back to Liquid/Nigma,…The Team w/ Miracle has been struggling so BAD Now because of Fans must have a person to blame to prolong Miracle’s fame they intended to put the blame on the Captain, which is Kuroky But then again turns out it’s not about the Captain at all, it’s mostly bases on Pro-Players are now all getting stronger and adapt much more newer Sets of Skills Mikey joined SR in DreamLeague and overcame Groupstage and later on carried by Abed on Top3, Miracle on the otherhand stand-in on SR got eliminated early on in Groupstage, it was a good Draft, a good Captain, a good Team, it’s just that there’s no Team who are very much compatible with Miracle’s Gamestyle anymore and he has no Skills to adapt such weakness, thus to me he is far from being called “GOAT”

There should be a distinction between "greatest" and "best". NoTail is the overall GOAT in my eyes. Won 4 majors as a carry then goes on to win 2 TIs as a Position 5. Longevity + success + mechanical skills. I look at Ceb more as the greatest coach ever. Puppey is the greatest in terms of longevity. Best Dota player in my eyes is Miracle~.

For me it’s very simple. GOAT is someone who got the approvals from every fans from different teams. Imo, Yatoro or Collapse has the most potential or some oldschool legends. However, despite great admiration towards Ana and Ceb, it’s clear as day that OG players have always been crowned BY ONLY OG FANS. And we all know how absolutely delusional and biased they are. I’ll bet everything i have if Ana/ Topson would get the votes from fans from DIFFERENT TEAMS’ fanbases (concensus). Not even 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 as much as many other candidates for sure.

Many Greats like Somnus, Ana, Miracle, Dendi, but for me it’s Puppey. But what about Notail, Ceb, Admiral Bulldog, Arteezy, Sumail, Kuroky and all..yeah…they are good…no really great but what Puppey have achieved in dota2 main stage is so immense that not even winning back to back Ti could eclipse the achievements of Puppey.

Ana is my GOAT. What he did as carry may not be as flashy as Miracle but is skillful in a different way, to farm and come back in some of the games he did is gota status imo. Like his IO plays, his spectre plays and general carry plays. Plus having back to back TI's even while having a break before TI9 is unbeaten
