The GTA series is known for this kinds of Easter Eggs brother. San Andreas had the Bigfoot Easter egg, GTA 4 had Ratman. Hell even Red Dead Redemption 2 had its fair share of creepy disturbing Easter eggs that you'll see. The debate is caused by confusion. Michael saying he was in witness protection is a reference to the real life intelligence officer Michael Townley, who carried out multiple assassination attempts and was placed under an unofficial US witness protection program. Michael was insinuating that he worked for the FIB and they placed him in witness protection afterwards. It had nothing to do with any of Michael's past robbery crimes.

I think both screams of the victim are her falling to her death because you can hear the sound of her body hitting the bottom of the mountain right after it stops. Also, what happened to the investigation? Did Jock paid of the autorities to make sure he was never charged for murder or did he tempered with the evidences to make it harder for the detectives to find out he was the murderer?
