Counterpoint if the puppet was just the mimic, why would Henry talk to it as if it was Charlie he specifically says my daughter and talks to it like it has a soul
@TerminalError10 ай бұрын
Good point! If I had to give a reason for this, either he is very sentimental toward the Mimic because it still acts like his daughter or it's a similar situation to the Glitchtrap theory I hear in the community right now. The theory basically says that Glitchtrap isn't the Mimic program that learned from William but instead is the remaining essence of William combining with the Mimic code and high jacking it. Thanks for commenting, and I hope you enjoyed the video!
@sweeneytodd14146 ай бұрын
@@TerminalError of course it's William. I know Scott likes to "explain" misunderstood stuff but HOW were we supposed to know who the Mimic is? Up until now, the books weren't too important to canon, just showed some parallels, and now we're supposed to look for a book that wasn't released until later for answers? Plus it doesn't make sense with Glitchtrap saying "I always come back", when would the Mimic have heard William use that phrase? Plus the bunny imagery, it's shown not to be picky with its costumes, why would it insist on portraying itself as a rabbit? Specifically Spring Bonnie? It "learned from William": that suit was probably used ONCE by him, if at all, because William clearly didn't care about possible springlock failures (the Spring Bonnie animatronic still being moved after the ban), so why the replacement suit? It could've easily "dressed up" as Spring Bonnie himself. I guess the same question could be asked about William, but maybe he kinda grew resentful of that form, even if he returned to it in SB. Plus the fire worked. The Blob is an algamation of remnant, not Funtime Freddy, it just uses the mask for convenience, I think. Plus the Baby/Scrap Baby plushies are all from VR, Baby is NOT active anymore. William only managed to come back through the Glitchtrap virus. Also why Glitchtrap? Malhare was also an option, the -trap suffix is reserved for William, Plushtrap being one of his experiments (plus a finger trap, if the books are to be believed). Like tell me Scott wanted to mislead us without telling me Scott wanted to mislead us. Either that or Steelwool did the retcon becuase of backlash

Disclaimer: I'm not remotely qualified enough to actually theorize on this franchise. With that being said; no, I don't think the Puppet falls to mimic anything. I don't even think it could've seen what happended since it was trapped in the box and only got out after Charlie has already been offered the british treatment. Also, I'm not sure if it falls because it's not powered, to be honest I never thought about what exactly it was powered by before Charlie came along. But I do think it falls due to the rain being bad. Its a Puppet after all, it doesn't have a casing like the other animatronics do, therefore the rain would probably be pretty lethal for it. As to how Lefty managed to capture the Puppet - i mean its right there on the blueprint. Bracelet code 93401233 is the code Charlie's bracelet emitted, i think? Well, long story short; Lefty was built to look like a child with a green bracelet to the puppet. Lefty was then able to capture her and used "Lullaby index 01" and "steady voltage" to keep her in. I therefore HIGHLY doubt it was trying to put on a new costume. Why would it chose a bear too? Anyway. The Mimic and the Puppet were built for completly different reasons and I, in my humble opinion, couldnt think of a way they're the same. The mimic was created to entertain David and learn from what it sees. The puppet on the other hand was built to protect kids (or Charlie at least). Why the mimic care for some random child and go out in the rain to mimic it dying the alley? It could've very well just decided to mimic literally any other child INSIDE the building. I won't get into the Security Breach stuff simply because my brain melts when I think about this games lore. Idk maybe your theory would make more sense to me if I'd actually knew stuff. Oh well. Great video tho, gets sub.
@TerminalError Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback and the sub! Also I definitely think you could be qualified to theorize about this franchise. It's confusing and there's a lot but you obviously know your stuff. On why it chose Charlie, I do think it's because it's set to look after the kid with the green bracelet like you said. Charlie was the one with the green bracelet, so that's why it chased after her (and for this theory mimicked her) in the alley. In the mini game, we also do see the puppet get out of the box before Charlie fades away from the window and her body is pretty far down the alley. I thought this was because William was strolling her down the alley maybe to promise to get her in the back door or something giving the puppet enough time to witness what happens. As of why the Mimic/puppet would choose to dress as a bear.. idk really. But I also don't know why it chooses what it wears in the books or in the ruin dlc. That's all I got for rebuttals. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@@TerminalError I know a reason that could explain why the Mimic chose a bear. Henry. Maybe the Mimic chose a bear cause he/she (does it have a gender?) saw Henry, its CREATOR, put on the yellow bear suit (maybe springlock but i dont know), cause correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure it is stated that Henry goes into the bear suit and William the bunny suit. So yeah, this is probably not true, but I'm just stating a possible reason.

You're right. Henry is stated to wear the fredbear suit in the books. @@silverwolves1877That was a completely different music box, and that takes place before the Puppet existed(Secret of the Mimic is the earliest point we see in the entire FNAF timeline since it’s 1979, before any accidents required the safety of the Security Puppet) The Mimic also looked nothing like the Puppet as Jackie, there is zero intersection, and the entire theory relies on a presumption that Edwin is just a parallel to Henry when they have almost nothing in common(in fact I’d go as far to say that Edwin is more similar to William than Henry and even then he isn’t a parallel). It would also make no sense if Henry explicitly refers to the Puppet as his daughter, makes it clear he’s referring to the first victim of Afton, we outright know that the Mimic is possessed by Agony but has no soul the entire way through so it can’t be possessed by Charlie, and there is absolutely no overlap in the stories that would make it fit together. Also the Mimic would have no way or reason to create the Happiest Day, it would be actively destroying every other Animatronic because that’s an integral part of it’s story(which is used for absolutely everything in this theory except for it’s creator for some reason). In other words: absolutely into nothing. A mess of plot holes, logical leaps and questionable decisions are required just to get a jumbled and clunky connection to the story(especially since Henry actively makes it clear that he’s staying in the fire just like Michael and he doesn’t have immortality of any sort to survive), some of the most laughed at theories in the community(Mike Victim, Miketrap, and Phone Guy being Afton) were honestly still far better evidenced and made more sense than the Mimic being the Puppet

@TerminalError8 ай бұрын
I'm not sure, or at least I don't think we've gotten an answer for it. My assumption is that they didn't look because cops wouldn't know or might not be trained to look inside of an animatronic (like as a real life example, I dont think they would look under your car or at the engine unless they suspected something was wrong with your car). But we can also use the fact that in security breach, Vanessa could somehow convince the police to turn away from the pizzaplex when they were getting calls from someone in the pizzaplex so maybe fazbear has some power over the police somehow? Just something I thought of kinda quickly.
@forgod23888 ай бұрын

I did change what I thought but not to attack your beliefs. No, the police wouldn't be trained to check the inside of an animatronic but after thinking about it a little longer, this is a company that either started with suits you climb into or was at least related to the company that did have suits that do that. When thinking of just the animatronics, I thought that they wouldn't be trained or even think to check inside the suits. But after thinking about the springlocks and possibly even regular suits, I realized that the cops might think the animatronics act similarly to the springlocks or regular suits and want to check inside. Now I think the only reason they wouldn't check inside the suits is either because they couldn't or were told they couldn't.

This will probably never be seen so I’m not going to go into detail but there are numerous things wrong with this. The timeline doesn’t add up because the Mimic predates the Puppet timeline wise, every individual detail about the story in FNAF 6 confirms that Charlie is the puppet while we know for a fact the Mimic doesn’t have a soul possessing it, and the Mimic would have no reason to trigger the Happiest Day and free the souls from the Animatronics when it’s big thing in the first epilogue is that it breaks Animatronics down limb from limb. Not to mention that just like every other theory about the Mimic, it cherry-picks what details to take from the books and treat as canon, such as dismissing Edwin as a Henry parallel when they have almost nothing in common and are very different characters(especially funny how people make this argument because Henry and William are also parallels and yet they both exist in canon).

my theory is that Henry's wife died earlier in the timeline, and since he had to work while Charlie was at home Henry manage to get some endo skeleton parts that remained in the fall-fest fire of 1983 and some old sound chips that were used to play voice lines and created the mimic, and it worked Charlie had a lot of fun playing around with the robot while the mimic learned a lot from those experiences very fast... but then Charlie dies. just like in the book's henry sees the mimic mimicking his daughter and destroyed it out of anger, taking a page out of dual process theory he was then framed and convicted for killing 5 kids, while he either served his sentence or escaped, Fazbear entertainment went to his house to confiscate all of the stuff related to Fazbear, someone then found the mimic in a broken mess and fixed it, giving it legs and the rest is history . while I do think henry created the mimic, I don't believe the mimic is the puppet, I feel it just doesn't work... also how can the mimic float?!
@YaBoiJamo Жыл бұрын
So what you’re saying that the puppet isn’t Charlie then? So Henry addresses his daughter in the end was for nothing? How could the puppet have given life to the MCI kids if it was just the mimic? You see the problem with this right? Or did you just gloss over some of the most important parts of the puppet and its inclusion within the story.
@TerminalError Жыл бұрын
Not at all! I think the puppet is very much still Charlie. If anything, I think we are losing Charlie as the mimic learns more from its environment. I do get how it sounds like that since I didn't touch on the possession side of things, but I do think Charlie is still in there somewhere. But to counterpoint for the sake, the puppet bringing life back to the mci kids could have been the mimic using its AI to study the kids before death and putting what it learned from them into the other animatronics. It's a lot less fun than kids' spirits stuffed, but it is an explanation to further the theory
@TerminalError11 ай бұрын
@Mr.bla1 I would disagree. I feel this would bring back a very important character to the franchise that, up to this point, only had one thing to do. That being giving life to the MCI kids. After that, the puppet seems to have little importance to the story and only seems to show up for Easter eggs (fnaf 3 hallucination, nightmarionette, lefty, nightmare staff bots). I feel my theory gives more importance and layers to the puppet with it attempting to claw back to power since being trapped in Pizzeria Sim. Sorry for the long response, I hope it made sense, and thanks for commenting!

@Mr.bla1 I do agree it's goofy they keep bringing afton back, but with Afton, the Blob, and now Circus/Scrap Baby all returning in some way in security breach/ruin, it wouldn't make sense to not bring back the puppet in some way. What better than having it literally hiding locked away under the pizzaplex.

I noticed a couple things I wanna point out. Firstly, and the weakest thing I have to say since it's tied to a piece of merch, and we all know the merch can be a bit... Ehh sometimes. Be there's a piece of merch that has the puppet attempting to free itself from Lefty. Despite the fact that we have no canon evidence of this, I just wanted to bring it up. Secondly, the puppet we see in 3 is actually real. You can see the reflection in the floor, and it doesn't look burned like the other phantoms. While I believe the phantom puppet is a hallucination, I thing the one you can see in the cameras is real, based on the fact that when it moves (I may be wrong here), you can no longer see the mask on the wall in the one camera. Lastly, in the minigame in 6, you can see sparks coming off of the puppet as it trudges through the rain, how the hell it maintains its ability to float even once it's off the rails is beyond me, but you can see it start sparking as it shuts down. Still a very interesting theory nevertheless, and it actually gives a reason for the mimic to have just sprouted out of absolutely nowhere in the games' continuity.
@TerminalError9 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the theory! I'm glad someone else is a bit bothered that the Mimic currently just spawns into existence essentially. While I feel like Scott and Steel Wool could get away with it, I think it makes it so much more interesting having it be a character that almost follows fazbear entertainment. As for the things you pointed out, I never actually noticed the puppet sparking in the cutscene, which is a very interesting detail. Good eye! I did hear people theorize that the puppet in fnaf 3 is real, and I wasn't sure if it was true. After all, Mike feels like an unreliable narrator in a way with all the hallucinations. But if it is real, I still don't think it changes the theory much. I also have seen the merch showing the puppet in Lefty. I always thought that this was lefty in the act of catching the puppet since it's right next to the prize box. But, like you said, merch Lore is iffy (and I'd lose my mind if I had to study merch on top of games, books, the movie, and any teaser released).

@@TerminalError Honestly what I really think would benefit the series is just lie if they'd step back and instead of leaving stuff that happened a decade ago as fan interpretation, they just flat out tell us. Even if it's a matter of "Yeah, well the theorists figured that out forever ago." Cuz there's things like the second MCI that have been swept under the rug. There's things like the Bite of 87, which we've never gotten anything on other than a single quote, and Fnaf 2 leading up to the presumed date of the bite, otherwise, we just have speculation and hints that the animatronic saw something strange with a golden suit and weren't acting right. Who knows if it was Mangle, Ballooon Boy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, hell who's to say Withered Foxy didn't sneak out of the back and maul someone? That could actually explain why he's out of order in Fnaf 1, but we literally have 0 evidence. Also a flat out explanation as to why Foxy is out of order would be nice. So many things in this franchise are just left up to speculation, and I feel like it harms it more than it does it any good, because these are things that would help the theories now, and burden theorists to not know. While the theory community pretty much agrees on some things as just confirmed, many "confirmed" things are never specified. I get that Fnaf has this air of mystery involved, and I respect that, but there's only so much you can do to try to be mysterious about a game from 10 years ago. Like how'd it take us this long to get a canon order that the original MCI victims were taken in? My issue isn't the mystery, it's the needless mystery. Like important things being left in the air despite not even really contributing to the overall mystery. Just a timeline with exact dates would do the series wonders.
@TerminalError9 ай бұрын
Definitely agree that all the small mysteries not getting solved is beginning to hurt the franchise. Maybe it's just me trying to cope, but I think Steel Wool is going to try going back and giving us answers to these things. They've said before they want to do more games that are early in the timeline, which makes me think they want to start answering these decade-long questions. Plus, Cassie’s father and the grave stones in HW2 feel like an easy Segway back to the beginning of fnaf since they both hint to that time period.

@@TerminalError I had not actually heard of them wanting to do games earlier on in the timeline. That actually gives me a whole new way of thinking. I was under the assumption that they were just leaving the early games as "the work of a rogue indie developer attempting to taint the name of the franchise" as they put it. Thankfully that was a load of shit and probably just Fazbear going "Yeah this happened over 20 years ago, it's all just rumors.".

I'm currently on the same boat as RyeToast, that they blamed it on the indie developer to basically say "if we mess up some of the old Lore from this point forward, then the new stuff is the new Lore" but I think they want to stay as close to the original story as possible to keep it the least confusing it can be. I also think Steel Wools' first early timeline game is gonna be centered around the fall fest since they've been hinting at it since HW1, but they've said in at least 1 interview that they would like to revisit the earlier parts of the timeline.

@@TerminalError theory for you, william absolutely made the mimic in my eyes no idea why people say it’s henry just cus of silver eyes novels. It’s obviously william’s attempt to recreate crying child (in my eyes) and he programmed it in the sister location bunker, somehow getting into baby through the microchip

@@TerminalError just a random thought that popped into my head idk if i made it make sense

I never actually thought about it until reading this, but Henry making the Mimic doesn't make much sense, or at least the reasoning for it. He makes an advanced learning algorithm just to entertain his kid? Bro casually drops the most advanced tech on the planet and lets his kid play with it. Until we get evidence in the games of how it was created, everyone is still gonna say Henry created it, but I like the idea of William creating it either for the crying child like you said, or maybe just to immortalize himself somehow.

the puppet isnt THE mimic it is A mimic. The mimic looks NOTHING like the puppet...at all...

That's why I think he upgraded himself after Pizzeria simulator. But it could definitely be interesting if there are multiple mimics running around.
