Bro my theory is so much different my theory is that during during Fred bears family diner, they had got enough funds to make even more animatronics and opened a new location which are the withered animatronics. But soon after the restaurant shut down for the murders they opened the next restaurant with the toy animatronics after doing so they use those original Amazon for scrap parts and stuff like that but then we saved another one how they were completely different. That’s because it’s after the events of Fnaf two and they are just looking different because there’s made of scrap parts from both animatronics or they’re just completely different models, and they threw away the original withered animatronics.that my theory

This is the definition of reading too far into it my man… the withereds and the FNaF 1 animatronics have different casings because at this time Scott was trying to push the idea of the game being a prequel. It wouldn’t look much like a prequel if they had the exact same shells as they did in FNaF 1 except old and decrepit. The casings they have in FNaF 2 come from an older location we have yet to see where the original murders took place.

This would not be that confusing but you have to remember: if the withered animatronics were just refurbished and redesigned, how did they not see the bodies inside? That’s what confuses me and why I’m watching this video

Here’s an idea, the endo skeletons worked just fine, but the outer suit was beyond repair, so the company made new ones, same endo, different suit

Like many had said, who ever came to posses the Withers, they decided to remodel and refurbish them completely. And why the Wither looks similar to the Nightmare, that’s mainly because, hypothetically, the Withers became what they became, they were used just like their original counterparts from the first game. Plus the Nightmare were illusions brought from the disks supposed laid through the halls of William’s house, to test how far the tech could go. After the Bite of 83 and the followed string of murders, William and Henry took a step back from the company in there respective ways, leading to the men in suits and ties to decide what to do with their assets. Since the “Pre-Withers” were attached to accidents and tragedies, the best way to move forward was a more friendly face for the company. Plus we gotta look what happens in those “follow me” mini games, especially at the climax of them. William gets springlocked, which would had to happen way after the second game took place, unless you are supporting the theory that William got out and the Spring Bonnie suit.
