Yeah I'm kinda in the middle between Shou and Gambino, but I don't really consider Gambino to be Guts' father it was mostly Shisu who wanted Guts around and when she died Gambino resented Guts. Plus they're mercenaries in probably the most dog eat dog world imaginable, he saw Guts more as a child soldier if anything. Plus he seemed to really care about Shisu, his last thoughts were even about her. Shou on the other hand raised Nina only for him to do 'that' not only that he also did the same to his wife before hand. And even when he clearly heard he said she wanted to die he still went on to do the same thing to Nina. Shou's not only a horrible father but a horrible husband.

The worst about Shou Tucker isn't that he turned Nina and Alexander into a Chimera its that he didn't think twice about using her as an experiment just to keep his state license and felt no remorse considering it was the second time he did that to a loved one

I'll agree that he's the worst, but I'll also argue the interpretation that Tucker did it partially out of crumbling under stress, partially because plot-contrivances. He HAD to perfect the process, because otherwise he'd lose his job in the military. It's unforgivable, but you can argue he lost his mind. I also imagine there's some truth to his claim his wife abandoned him before he got the license; he likely snapped when she said she was leaving. It was only downhill from there. It doesn't excuse his actions, but he has more of a (flimsy) Freudian Excuse than Rasa or Gambino. I'll also say his choices don't make much sense plot-wise because... why would he need to use his own family? If he walked up to the Amestris High Command and openly requested human subjects and animals, these guys would only ask how many. They're basically a non-Nazi Third Reich that's controlled by an inhuman Illuminati, and Tucker seems to know that on some level. Basque Grand in the 2003 Anime clearly KNEW how the first Talking Chimera was made and didn't care. So Tucker could have asked for any number of stray dogs and homeless orphans to perfect his work. The plot makes it sound like Tucker created the first talking Chimera using his wife (for no revealed reason), it died later and then he simply did nothing meaningful while everyone wanted him to keep working on it or create some new project, until the reevaluation came around, he didn't have jack shit and just decided to try again using his daughter and dog? Weird logic there. FMA has some plotholes because the author is trying to push some theme without considering whether it would fit the plot or if the method makes much sense (if at all).

I agree Amestris would've given him as many animals and orphans as he wanted but they probably all failed because he was missing something. Most likely there needs to be a bond between the animal and the human. He probably realized this at the end of his deadline and decided to try it on a pair that has a bond without a doubt. Well, considering he didn't really care that much when he was alive... Yeah. He was proud of Gohan getting stronger, but completely ignored everyone anytime else. Goku was more of a personal trainer then a dad to Gohan. Goten, same basic story, but then he was dead basically all through the beginning of his life, so it's not his fault. In Super, he admitted to not even caring enough to learn their birthdays and relied on Piccolo to know them. On top of that, Vegeta, who's supposed to be the Anti-Hero, is refusing to leave his family unless it's necessary. And Goku is trying to get him to abandon his family.

There was a point during his torture where, FOR AN ENTIRE DECADE, they continuously cut out his fucking eyes over and over again until it got to the point where he could see without them. They crucified and burned him at the stake for years. They cut him apart, stabbed him, and repeatedly tore him apart *just* because he was born with immortality. Hell, at one point, he was thrown into a cave and locked up, and he STAYED in there until the bars turned into fucking dust. He was in that cave with no human connection, food or anything for years, and because of it, he created multiple personalities to cope with the loneliness. Ninety-nine percent of his personality wanted to kill humans because of all the pain he went through, and only one of them even felt like giving humanity a chance. Utsuro and Shouyo have no idea which one was the original personality. Utsuro wanted to destroy the world and kill himself and all of humanity and life in the universe because of everything he went through. Either you're thinking about the wrong Utsuro, or you've never seen Gintama. He's been suffering a hell of a lot longer than Shigaraki.
