I think about this all the time. All of the men I’ve met in the past year and some months have been gentlemen. Even if it didn’t go anywhere, they never lead sexually, they are wonderful at courtship, and are highly respectful of me and are respectable men themselves. The sleazy guys, I don’t give the time of day because I can recognize them with a similar sense of precision as a buzzard in a desert. They never “try” me and when/if they do it is not even disrespectfully, and when i reject their advances I do it in such a soft way that they know to never do that again and still want to see me. It’s a “you” problem if the people you choose to entertain are trash. You know they’re trash, so bow out with grace and move on. But women give away so much too soon to where they feel if they do let that man go they’re leaving in a deficit. Well yeah, you gave away the cows for free and now you’re running out of viable quality livestock for other bidders and have to take what you can get because you continue to run your business and marketing the same way without learning the lesson and applying it. It’s a y o u problem, not men.

Something that isn't talked about very often is how alienating it feels to be a man that doesn't want to sleep around. They say that men don't want anything but hookups but really what is going on is that they don't see the men like me because we don't play the games or go seeking frivolous sex; they aren't drawn to the many men that really do want relationships and have no interest in sleeping around. I've even tried to hookup and couldn't bring myself to doing it because I need a deep connection with someone before hand. It's difficult because I really very much want to develop that deep connection with someone, but there is still so much animosity that women harbor towards men. A lot of these young girls tend to just base their entire perception of men on the few (or many) bad experiences they have had with the 5% of guys they keep pursuing. They are focusing on this small minority of men that aren't looking for relationships but are rather inclined to sleep around as much as possible, and certainly will do so, seeing as they have many options to take advantage of. It hurts because as a man I can't help but love women and want to be in a deep loving relationship, but I have to constantly fight my own desire for connection in order to protect myself from their insanity. I literally had a group of girls say to each other in front of me, "uhh, men are just so gross. They are just useless horn dogs. I mean women are at least pretty, smart, emotional, complex, deep. Men just want to stick their penis in everything." I mean how is saying something like that celebrated? Do they not realize half of the population is comprised of men; that most of the everyday items they use are the inventions of men and the hard work they have put forward? To categorically claim that men are useless or make such broad sweeping statements such as "Men aren't interested in anything other than sex and its their fault hookup culture exists" is only indicative of the fact that they are looking at life through a very narrow view point. There is no need for over the top adoration, but a little acknowledgement, empathy and gratitude towards men I really think would only serve to help both sides. We are here on this earth to support one another. We have the power to destroy the other but should choose not to because the pain inflicted will only return to ourselves, perpetuating suffering for everyone.

I pray that God brings you the right woman into your life just when you need her to be there and I bet it’s when your open and ready to receive the gift of her. It seems you’re almost there but still a little closed off from it. It’s okay and sounds understandable. I apologize on behalf of all the dim witted women out there who have had a ruff time with men. I can say I’ve had a super Uber horrible time with men in my life, from my own absent father, to my abusive step dad (the first one, the second was great and third was ehhhh, the 4th I was s grown woman with my own kids so I didn’t care) to my own child molesting uncle whom didn’t spend nearly enough time in prison for what he did to me and someone else in my family, to my own ex’s and my own husband, but I don’t hold all men accountable for that at all. I hold those men accountable and that’s what those women need to do too. So I apologize for their shitty actions. And I truly do say I hope sit back, get yourself into a place to where God says, okay he is ready to receive this amazing woman I have for him. And watch him give her to you and then enjoy her and the beautiful life and hopefully family to come. I pray that blessing on you in the name of Yeshua (Jesus Christ) Amen. Good luck man and don’t give up. Some women are just angry and bitter and they’ve been taught by modern fem bots that men ain’t ish and there are A LOT of men that aren’t ish. But that’s not all men and not all women and each person should be judged based on each individual person. Good luck.

Very well said. I despise other women who constantly blame unfavourable male tendencies as the root of all their problems and refuse to realise that they're part of these societal issues. They constantly spout anti-men hate and openly blame men for everything and justify it with all men being misogynists, even though those kinds of women are downright misandrists. Though this programmed hatred towards men is growing, not once have I heard the term misandrist (hatred/prejudice against men) being used in the mainstream, but everyone loves going on about misogyny. As for your sense of alienation for not fitting into the date around and fuck around category, I can relate. As a young woman who has not even ever dated, I'm often questioned and judged on why I don't partake in those normalized activities of giving into short term lust. It's sad that so many people don't wish to seek out a long term connection that goes beyond just the flesh.

@@SweetTea-Stephens I can't thank you enough for such a kind message and your prayer, it really means a lot to me. I think your assessment that I'm a little karmically closed off to it is correct. I do believe there are things about myself that still need improvement before I can be the best partner for someone else; I want whoever I am with to feel loved unconditionally and protected. I'm not always clear on what I need to improve, as we tend to be most blind to our own deficiencies, so I've been asking God everyday to show me whatever it is I need to see in that regard. Some of the gifts we receive aren't so obvious at first and can even be quite painful, but I can now say that all this time I have spent on my own has really been a gift, difficult as it may have been. My Grandmother tells me, "God is sparing you the heartache of damaging connections and is getting you ready for when the time is right". She's the best 😊. Thanks for sharing. You sound like you are a very strong person with a very strong spirit and heart. The fact that you aren't bitter, despite having every reason to be, is not an accomplishment to be scoffed at. I tried a dating app for a couple weeks. I put right at the top of my profile that I'm only interested in dating for marriage but the people who were saying they were conservative were saying it was weird that I won't do more than three dates without meeting my family. My dad had to meet mom's parents before the first date. It's ridiculous. No one on there was looking for anything serious. I deleted it after a couple weeks because it was boring and annoying.
@rachelciel3330 Жыл бұрын
OMG, this is something I had an argument over in a youtube comment. Basically, it's a video that explained a religious culture where men who are interested in women would ask the woman if he could talk to her father (or other male family members should the father is deceased) because he's interested in her and want to see the possibility of them being in a relationship with the goal of marriage. One woman commented that it's 'icky' for a man asking her father to get in a relationship with her and even saying "My dad wouldn't want a man like that dating me. Why would who I date should talk to him first?" In the cringe 'I'm independent modern woman' style that existed within many western women nowadays. I was mindblown. It isn't even a bad conservative advice, it's a show of good intent from a man to talk with your FATHER. If your own FATHER can't muster enough worry or care over your sake to help you screen out suitors, it's really SAD.

I wrote a term paper on hookup culture. Nobody likes it but everyone feels the need to engage in it to find a partner. The problem is low moral standards for men and women and a lack of shaming. Women have been sold the lie that sexual promiscuity is empowerment, when women are hard wired for commitment. No surprise that in committed relationships women are actually happier and more sexually satisfied! Also I am tired of hearing justification for men sleeping with a lot of women. Like yes, it had its role a million years ago but we’re not animals anymore! Have some morals; do the right thing and commit when you find the right woman! Until then keep it in your pants.
@chindianajones3742 Жыл бұрын
I think we are still animals. To deny that is imo a mistake as it permits us to ignore, shame or dispense with certain aspects of human nature that we wish weren't so ugly or disgusting. Its very important to acknowledge that humans can still be savage and uncivilized and still be human. That said, an animal as intelligent and complex as humans are can still choose to not engage in behaviors like excessive promiscuity or violence or war. I think the very fact that we have always (and still do and most likely will always do) these things is evidence enough that we are, at base, animals. And that's not necessarily "bad", although we might have good reason to believe that such reprehensible behaviors are quite undesirable when it comes to the most optimal functioning of our social, political and economic systems.
@Martick05545 Жыл бұрын
@@chindianajones3742 It is bad because acting like an animal when you are a conscious human reduces you to an animal. If you are a human you need to strive to embody ideals, as they are the product of thought.
@chindianajones3742 Жыл бұрын
@@Martick05545 not all aspects of the category "animal" are necessarily base, savage, uncivilized, evil, unintelligent, or unconscious (or however you wish to define "animal"). There are varying degrees of consciousness, intelligence, and morality throughout the animal kingdom and in different species we can observe not only "bad" things but also good things like sharing resources and cooperation, particularly among more social animals, and even between different species. Sure by certain definitions we can say there is much more "uncivilized-ness", but the qualities of good and evil are both inherent to animals. Are there not still humans that engage in savage, uncivilized or animalistic behaviour to this day? What demarcates the line between human and animal? How do you even define that line, and why is your definition any less arbitrary than any other definition that seeks to classify humans as disjoint from all other animals? Especially at a biological level, the fact that we share around 99% of our dna with chimps is some indication of our similarity to other animals. My point is that the line between human and animal is not yet so distinct that we can consider ourselves to have transcended the state of animal into something different and greater. And I think it is hubris (and perhaps also vanity) to look at ourselves and think that we are greater than our entire biological and evolutionary history. That said, I think it is also honest to say that we, as far as we can know, are something extraordinarily special that has become of the evolutionary chain -- and yet still animal
@Martick05545 Жыл бұрын
@@chindianajones3742 The obvious difference you overlook is consciousness. With consciousness comes the capacity for morality.
@chindianajones3742 Жыл бұрын
@@Martick05545 yes I see you didn't understand what I wrote. What you just said was exactly my point. The fact that there are different levels of consciousness throughout the animal kingdom implies there are different levels of morality throughout the animal kingdom, hence morality is not unique to human beings, hence human beings cannot be made distinct from the category "animal" on the basis of our (non-unique) morality.

I have so much to say about this 🌹 Everyone who takes part in hook up culture is part of the problem. We all need to take personal responsibility for what we do with our bodies. Women should be responsible by not giving it up so easy Men should take responsibility by taking the lead and not allowing a girl to ruin herself JUST because YOU only want to f***. As a man, not having sex often doesn't give you the right to bang anything and everything that gives you the opportunity. This is why the bond of marriage is crucial for men. Yes we really really want sex, but I would argue we NEED discipline more. I would also argue that the best women for you would make you wait until you married her. I have only been in 4 relationships(2 long term) and that's all I need to know what I want in a women to be my wife. This whole thing where "men can have hundreds of bodies and it's ok" is bullshit and shows lack of discipline. If the girl isn't right for you, don't increase her body count to lessen her chance at marriage to the guy she actually wants. Things like this not only make her lose the ability to bond(biological fact) but will also make her think one night stands are ok which will increase her body count and by extension increasing the time she does this and stays single, then when she realized it was a mistake she ends up childless and humanity loses another child. Yes women choose whether or not to open it up to us, but we as men need to be leaders and not be controlled by our physical needs. Walk away if you aren't in a long term relationship with her and wait for the one you want to marry. 🌹

All nice but not realistic, women started and control hookup culture, men adapted, it's their responsibility, not men's. Men always wanted to fuck, no matter what era culture or particular point of history you are looking at, men would never say no to sex. Maintaining a woman's chastity is a women's choice and problem, society cannot be blamed for it. You don't need a right to bang, you are literally made that way and no reason to not take the opportunity when the situation presents itself considering that's how the reality of modern world works. True best women and intelligent women will make you wait, but they other qualities too that makes them good women. Hwever there are many born again virgins in today's eras, a girl who will make you wait while having a body count of 30 isn't worth marrying nor is she sexually interested in you. Testing works both ways, girl tests by making you wait, men test by asking for sex. Again not the responsibility of the man or the society to control that and no reason not to do it. Good advice, but impractical in real world, not to mention marriage is a trap and a dangerous choice for men anyway.

The responsibility falls on both genders. Women became more promiscuous because men convinced and affirmed that it was empowering in hopes that they would get some. Both genders need to control themselves and focus on the things that are much more important than sex. Especially in the current state of the world. Be more disciplined and do better people. Edit: I'd like to add that it seems as though more people need to take responsibility for themselves as an individual, rather than blaming others or blaming the opposite gender.

I’ve spent a great deal of time on dating apps and it was insane to see how many women were not even remotely interested in a serious relationship. Most weren’t even interested in meeting up. They just wanted to text. Like wtf? I’m not here to be your pen pal. 😂 It took a while, but it paid off. I met my fiancé and she’s the most perfect person in the world for me. Hey Brett! I absolutely loved this episode. Nobody thinks about that particular issue that we have biological different roles. The part that I think women don’t take responsibility for is if you don’t want to participate in “hook up culture” don’t go to places where that happens specifically clubs that are set up for that. It’s like hello don’t go to the club by yourself to get hit on by drunk guys. You won’t find your husband that way. Us women can’t constantly blame men for everything. I remember there was a guy on this exact show that said body count mattered more when women had a high body count vs men, and he said that with an over 100 body count. It’s definitely a both gender issue of people being blinded by the reality of hookup culture.

@waltermh111 Жыл бұрын
False Equivalent because you can just blame women. Look up the sexual liberation movement and you'll find that it's a feminist movement. Look at the slut walks. Women pushing it and some beta male liberals doing it to "support women". A tiny percentage of men love it because they get to benefit from it but most of us are against it because it is destructive to family community and country. Men don't even have any power in this situation so how can we get any blame. Women control who sleeps with them 100%. Most men are lucky to get positive attention from women at all. We all get judged for the small percentage of men that women even get a chance to. If you keep deflecting from the problem it can never be fixed. I know the way to put it is if I tell a man to stop sleeping around you will laugh at me because hes the one that gets to have sex and have women loving him while I'm the 1 that women hate and make fun of and I don't get anything from them. Women are the ones that are going to have to change because men will become whatever it takes to feel loved or wanted by women so women need to get back to traditional ways and that'll get men back to traditional ways. Most of us are waiting. I'll give you a good example of how men are trying to be part of the solution. Look up passport bro. This is men most of which if you look at comments are going overseas to get women not just to sleep around because they could do that anywhere in the world without a name. They are doing that to find love and family. We want this all to end but we don't have the power. It's not us majority of men that are hooking up with these women and dating them only for sex. We need to stop being judged by the few percentage of men that women chase because hes hot or maybe funny or other superficial things that have nothing to do with a good relationship.

@Deszi you are right. But not only is he not forcing her, but the only men who don't have to basically beg through a lot of hoops are the lucky few hot boys and the players. It's definitely only the women who have all the power. That's why I recommend against this idea that women should be going up to men because women are already going up to me or when they do it's only the top 10%. It doesn't benefit men for women to be more aggressive Because it will only benefit a smaller and smaller group of men. The human race is literally dying going down this path.

I love hearing you talk, girl, one thing I just want to say (it kind of has to do with this whole Tate 'era' we were in), the fact that a lot of his fans or people in general try to justify men sleeping around in relationships because of biological/primal reasons. Whether or not they feel like that, I still feel like they shouldn't. I also feel like it makes women feel like they can't find a loyal man especially if he's attractive and financially stable(not necessarily rich!) Again, I’m not talking about your Andrew Tates, celebrities, or high status people. It's something that I struggle with to this day, feeling like I won't find a good guy who just wants to be with just me. I'm not against men. We need men in this world. I'm not a feminist or I don't consider myself one, however, this is something that still kind of gets under my skin. If someone wants to have a genuine conversation with me in the comments about this, that would be great. Maybe I would need a therapy session too. Lol. Idk. I was starting to go down the path of men only care for looks, men only care about getting their D wet, men are shallow and unable to love a women for her merits, men only care for what they can get out of someone, men are users etc (sounds like many of the men I've had conversations with just that its opposite gender). But I realised that most men are being lead by their balls and those women don't get kept but passed around. It was up to me to find a good man. And I did. As someone who doesn’t dress promiscuously, I have to say guys don’t look my way at all. Girls know that guys will pay attention to them if they dress to attract them. So I would definitely say the reason more girls dress promiscuously is because that’s what guys respond to so it’s not right for girls to be put down for their dress. Also, hookup culture is more of a socially acceptable thing because as a society we’ve decided not to shun guys or girls that sleep around. Both genders need to cool it.
