I really like this channel as I just stumbled upon it on my front page, so hopefully it seems like you're doing something right in the YT algo! I also really like the concept of a hobby channel that focuses on painting and art design fundamentals over standard "how do I think this model should be painted?" videos. I think there's really a dearth of videos like this on the platform!

We have been doing a lot of design vs lore lately because we weren't sure we would be able to get the 50 new members we needed to make the channel viable. And we promised to do all of them so we wanted to keep our word even if we didn't make it but we are half way there so hopefully we will make it I am really you are enjoying our videos and I am even more glad you found us on the home page that's great news for us. @@xGamermonkeyx Yeah, we have used the dirty down products ALOT and we think we know how to get the best out of them... but I will be honest a lot of our advise is reading the instructions out loud, despite that we seemed to upset a lot of people despite that - Cal

I like your guys channel, been very helpful as a beginner. I think it may be a good idea to actually extend your videos . This 3min video didn’t do very well, didn’t even see it until I came to your channel from the community post. All of your videos tend to be pretty short when they could be longer, for example the “what standard should you paint to” video could have been much longer and you could have shown the process/time/skills needed to paint a model of each type. I could see that doing better than the short video it was. Just a suggestion, KZbin’s ways are mysterious though so who knows. Good luck

We could do a lot to 'game the algorithm' but you lose trust that way. Like we said in this video we really really try and respect peoples time because so many people don't. But maybe we can do a follow up to what standard should you paint to currently we are focusing on the Design vs Lore and the collaborations, after that we will have to look at how things are - Cal

I want all my peoples to be happy and healthy, I don't waste my time with comments because I have to its because I know behind each and every person is someone. I bet if you shared this on a Facebook group or a discord or wherever you hang and talked about people would pay more attention than you think. Part of the issue is I’m really not interested in Warhammer/Games workshop stuff. I wonder if the demographic of people who watch your popular color theory/painting videos also don’t really care about warhammer. The video you had about detail creep in miniatures was interesting though, because it talked about a miniature wide phenomenon. How do your more general videos do in comparison to the war hammer focused stuff?

That is a total fair question. In our experiences the further we stray from Games-Workshop the worse our views are. Infact the further we stray from just space marines the less views we get. We have done an analysis of our thumbnails and pretty much unless we have a space marine on it we get less views. Despite that we have tried to do a variety of content - Cal
