Shadow Pine, Thanks very much for this documentary on the final battle of German tank ace Michael Wittmann. Very well constructed and narrated with fine background material & skillful use of CGI to paint an effective picture of events. Thanks for all your programmes on wartime engagements!

If I'm not mistaken... The side plate of a tiger 1 is only 60 mm. Not at the turret armor... That is a single bent piece of 80 mm steel.. But the hull is only 60 mm on the side. I'm figuring an armor-piercing round from even a short 75 Would have done the trick. Go Canada !!!

In Höhe des Laufwerkes (Ketten und Laufräder) sind die Panzerplatten 60mm dick. Oberhalb des Laufwerkes- und am Heck sind die Panzerplatten 80mm dick. Der Turm ist an den Seiten und hinten 80mm dick gepanzert. Die Kanonenblemde ist 120mm dick gepanzert. Die Bugpanzerung beträgt 100 mm.

Bei Mnute 27 wird das ausgebrannte Rohr einer Typhoon-Rakete gezeigt, die Tiger "007" abgeschossen hatte.
