Since you really wanted my opinion, I like and prefer my Dobyns Champion XP 806 and my 807 rods and also my Bull Shad rod for my jig hook baits. These are my “go to” rods for Clear Lake and are with me everytime I go there !❗️❗️i carry Magdraft Freestyle 6” baits, to my 10” Magdraft swimbaits and even my 12” Hudds! So you can see I carry a variety of swimbait sizes for this lake and during the course of the day I will use all of them !❗️😵

I’d like to see how the St Croix Victory SB Ranger compares. I like it for smaller swimbaits and it easy to cast.

IRod has always had a great portfolio for swimbait rods from the Genesis 3 to the new Quercus. Sniper Swim is a model I think would be really good for guys who do want to fish more of the 2+ oz baits. At 7'6" it's not too long for those who want to fish from bank or on a yak or float tube. Price wise, it's very affordable for a lot of people. Owner Matt Newman knows his stuff developing his rods on the West Coast.

I agree. I have the genesis 3 jr swimbait rod and sniper swim. Both great rods. I might get the 6th sense broomstick and test it.

Swimbait rod handles are ridiculous. I understand having them be a little longer to tuck them against your body, but there is no need to have at least 3-4" of unnecessary handle sticking out behind me. *Also, what is the reason for the extra grip in front of the reel?

Big wake baits around 3-4oz is the best way to start swimbait fishing, once you get the confidence the glides will start to seem easy 🫡🫡🫡
