Just you wait until they require brain surgery to insert a chip in your brain to monitor those with anxiety.... Snap out of it while you can before they take it a step further and start requiring stuff you wouldn't otherwise want

hi i live in southern california & i go to behavioral mental health & they said they couldnt give me a referral. I’m about to be homeless the only $ i receive is SSI. Can you please tell me what i’ve got to tell my psychiatrist and psychologist? I would be very appreciative! 🎊on your new place….

@@DawnSantee I, as a nurse , for 2 decades, (and worked for a psychiatric facility)have always received success stories from many ,in NY,North Carolina. California,IL,to Texas. I have met so MANY in California, to east coast positions in NC, who were immediately approved citing "severe"depression, no longer eating, sleeping, and are considering suicide= all helped, and shall share a few examples. Now 1 walked in the E.R, clearly depressed/severely etc, and he later wrote me, in a card thanking me for being so kind to him, whereas, he was able to procure an EHV in 3 weeks." Another reached me, she was suicidal more, no sleep, deep depression state." I was happy to hear she is better now, received Emergency Rental Assistance, down south in North Carolina, after applying, her current months rent was paid, owed 450(1/2 of previous month) so she owed $950 current rent last august, end of summer this year, and they also paid her 1/2 month rent owed, so she received nearly all of her rental assistance(emergency) was not thrown out/evicted, she is still there as of this month." Another west coast, received back rent 2 months, as she is also now qualifying for SSI, (lawyer helped her)with the SSI, not evicted. She too was very suicidal, so the psychiatrist she confide in, helped her, seen her immediately, and assisted her with a letter stating it was link to "sudden homelessness/real fear of being evicted in 21 days", this letter was Golden for her, and helped her, in California" and she is now doing better, knowing she Is not going to be homeless. DEPRESSION/Suicidal worse when you are able to PROVE you are yes, about to become in 30 days or less "Evicted" works for many, I have met/seen in my Nursing career, just hope 1 day I see online more who were granted approved for temporary rental assistance/Emergency Housing Voucher." I went to the Beacon in Houston to take the CE assessment. They turned me away bc I wasn’t receiving homeless services…..wtf is a homeless service?

Can't wait for my consultation on Monday, seems like you really know your stuff. And I really need some help! PHAs are useless toothless can't be bothered Wally the work avoiders who treat you like a nuisance for asking them to enforce their HAP contracts against landlords who commit violations. HUD gives people the run around, they've got a hundred different numbers and departments to sort through. Landlords take full advantage of the mess the system is and peoples ignorance to bully tenants and throw them out on the streets. Trying to learn all this stuff for the first time when faced with homelessness is so overwhelming.

I love Jay for being so enlightened. I was in denial about my disability for a decade. I'm only emerging now (I still have dreams of success). Homelessness IS dangerous. Shelters are so bad people elect to live outside. They have strict curfews and tight restrictions that make progress impossible. I was put out of 2 or 3 women's shelters because my stalker found me there. I was put out of one for having a camera to document the injuries he inflicted. Living outside for a woman is next to a death sentence. I won't elaborate. Statistics tell that story. I went through the above while paying a mortgage on the home I finally fled due to a lack of help from police. Now, I can't make myself take a few classes to get my resume up to date and I can't keep a crappy job that doesn't cover my bills because I'm sick from stress. If you're not disabled, you probably will be after experiencing homelessness.

I worked in a shelter in a small town in NC. During that short time 2 of our clients died. They didn't pay for my sleep time while I was there but I really didn't sleep because I wanted to know what was going on. It was a 9 bed women's shelter.

Maybe someone can answer this. If the current waitlist is closed, can a person still get an Emergency Housing Voucher? I did a little digging but I have not found a concrete answer. Hopefully one of you can shed some light on this issue. Thank you.

I go to every state that i like that’s around me since im homeless i applied for that housing choice voucher. i’m now on 4 different HCV waitlist. whichever one calls me first is where ill go…. i hope this helps you out. good luck

and yes you can still appt for emergency housing vouchers. call the CoC…. look it up for your county. they will give you an assessment test.

I've been through this process, calling 211 living in an interim housing for 2 years with a case manager from an agency that works with LA family housing. My family of two was placed for permanent housing in a peroject based building but apparently 4 months after signing a lease, the housing authorities hacla withdraw my application for not meeting the occupancy standards. The last day of my lease was also the beginning of the eviction process from HACLA. I don't know what to do at this point bc I always had someone handling my case. It was mishandled and now I'm on my own and I need help.

I'm living in California and I'm running into stone walls with 211 housing authority of monterey CA and San Jose, CA and social services of monterey at my wits end. I'm not real tech savvy. You are to funny, straight with the facts, and hit the nail on the head everytime. I have seen it myself. I don't know why...colorado springs has such a homeless problem, but boy the do! Trust me you are so right, we helped this guy get home. He said to us he could not believe how much he was drinking he had never drank like that before. But got into a group of homeless and that's all they did so that's all he did... Long story short after a little convincing he called his family and théy came and got him.

Hi Jay , I do need your assistance due to the fact that I have been on Social Security Disability since 2019, and I only receive enough to pay rent. Every month, I struggle to pay rent and other bills. I have received eviction notices at least 3 times already. I am on remission with Stage 3 cancer, but I am now experiencing chronic heart failure and spine issues. I am also having issues with not being able to pay my caretaker. Kindly please assist me in this matter . I am battling so much health wise and have applied for assistance since I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019.

I was put out on street owed no rent during covid 16 years for his son and girlfriend have pictures and at the time took over a barbershop slept there and have no home yet just lost my business he doubled rent Debbie's harborbarbershop in Hingham I'm 60 and I've paid my taxes bills and I am not a candidate for anything I've done wrong and have no where to go got an offer from a client and cannot even get raft to let us fill out application I work hard and I can't get shit but the losers get everything I don't know how to prove that I have no where to go

I was lucky enough to find the waiting list was open, so I was able to get on it when I contacted the local housing authority, waited 2 years before I got it. I suppose you could try signing up in other cities too, if they're "absorbing" people, and you're able to move there whenever.
