The reason the Outer Rim was so lawless is because there was no law enforcement the closest you got were bounty Hunters and since the Outer Rim was so isolated from the rest of the galaxy

I view the Outer Rim as the American Wild West because nobody can tame it because throughout Galactic History the Outer Rim as been a place filled with criminals, smugglers,Crime Syndicates,mercenaries,and bounty hunters and various types of the galaxy's unwanted

Two solutions to solve the problem: 1 Make it a permanent warzone like during the Clones Wars. This solution will led to hundreds of warships are always on patrol and the large quantity of resources and manpower will be in needed to maintain all fleets, their crews and weapons. 2 Give contract to develop infastructure and rights to colonize one of the Outer Rim's worlds to the individuals who wished to settle there. Once they are settled down, have someone from the judicial forces or the Jedi Order to go there and lead and protect the newly-established colony. And once the colony is stabilized, allow the locals to elect their own leader for real. After this, repeat this whole process again and again on the other planets in the Outer Rim. As for the organizations like the Trade Federation, give them only certain rights such as the mining rights on certain planets. The second idea is actually originated from the Generation Tech's channel and to me, it sound at least more realistic and actually achievable. However, it is always good to have more than source of knowledge. And this is why I basically have no shame to admit that I'm watching both channels. This is what basically every human should do. Always looking for knowledge and use more than one sources of knowledge to find answers by mixing them together.

Seems like the New Republic was always a mess compared to the other governments no matter how you look at it. Seemed safer during the Imperial Era. Just depends on the world and how well you can defend yourself during a time it’s not as intense.

I would say right before the first battle of geonosis, the separatists were trying to keep everything together and bring law and order to the rim, I think with the amount of resources there and the massive corporations in the CIS, it wouldve become more prosperous than the republic without the manipulations of the sith

Also, don't forget that the Rebels killed Jabba, leaving a huge power vacuum in the Hutt clans, which made the criminal world unstable

you need to explain how the Empire had so much manpower compared to other factions. Yes, they had all the worlds the Republic had either conquered or gotten through diplomacy, and all their local armies and security forces, but their military's number still seem staggering, especially considering how unnatractive being a normal stormtrooper would be to the average citizen once they knew anything about the life (go to some world you've never heard, of, get paid beans, then either sit on your ass for decades or get blown up on the frontlines.)

No because the Hutt Cartels Bribed Imperial officers and Regional governors WAY Heaftier then their median salaries. Infact the hutts Bank rolled parts of the Imperial war effort so they were still granted relatively free rein. FYI Hutts are the lead faction in control of the Outer rim with MILLIONS of planets under their thumb including Nal Hutta, Tatooine, and Teth.

The republic much like the empire was always to a large deree core centric, the mere will to allocate rescourses to provide some form of stble governemts,vv law enforcement and the like was simply not there. Safest time was under the empire when law and order was the focus
