tbh America is using Ukraine as an active testing ground for untested weapons against one of their biggest rivals - therefore they will know if it will work before they get the war on their own turf. - so 1/10 of the defense spend to be sure that the weapons they are investing in are working effectively as designed is a worthwhile investment in my eyes.

Taylor did a good job of explaining how Rome's supply lines and standing army is what made them impressive, Woody made me concerned about how much of the pro NATO propaganda he's reading... He did bring up a good point about the ''I owe you one". We're dumping more money into a non-allied country then we are our own educational system and even Russia own yearly military budget. The US alone is fighting a proxy war to weaken the Russians, and that's not considering the resources the rest of the world has dumped into Ukraine. Edit: 21:15 This would be ideal. Yea in all actuality Russia is winning but it’s been a Pyrrhic victory so far. Even if they do somehow manage to get the Ukrainian government to capitulate (which will more then likely not happen). The Ukrainian people will be a constant insurgency and Russia took an absolute beating already. In the end Russia probably loses far more then it will gain from this conflict. Russia has also fired enough of their good missiles that they are under 10% of their entire stock of missiles. Like we cant fill the orders for munitions fast enough and russia kinda cant afford to be firing all these missiles. Once their out since they aren't replenishing them it's kinda gonna be game over. The USA's share of the arms market has risen significantly and Russia's has fallen significantly. That means that the USA can turn a bigger profit from selling weapons and since they are selling a large quantity they can also reap the benefits of economies of scale. Countries don't think Russian weapon's are as good after seeing how they did in Ukraine and aren't buying as many, so now Russia has less money to invest into it's military, which sucks because it means their weapons won't be as good... Also the elected leaders do not like things like food and fuel prices rising, they are on top so they don't want things to be reshuffled.
